Is Grebs still an RFA for us? Has he signed with another team? I've heard nothing about him. I really liked him in his time for us, and im hoping we can at least get something in return for him.

Technically, though, we could still retain his NHL rights if he signed elsewhere, but we opted not to extend a QO to him, so he's no longer our property in any way, shape, or form.

Stupid move in my opinion in wasting a 2nd round pick on him. Y'all saw how badly Poile wanted a 2nd in this years draft. Oh well tho.

Impossible to anticipate the groin injury, but easier to anticipate not getting a qualifying offer.

I honestly don't think the groin injury had anything to do with it. He was healthy come playoffs.

I honestly think Poile saved the money that could have gone to Grebs in case he needed to sign both a vet blueliner and a vet back up. Purely speculation though.

He was also very good offensively, which is where\why we needed him. I would have happily taken him back.

Kiraly..what on earth are you talking about? He was hit in the marbles with a puck, and came back ahead of schedule and made an immediate impact. If not for the injury, that's an easy trade to make.

I would have taken him back for about half of his salary, that was the only real issue. He wasn't worth 3 mil.
