Thanks, looks like I need to be out of the gym by 7 then. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Brovski gets the start.

I'd rather see Bob as he's more entertaining and probably has a bigger future with this club, but it's probably best if we get to see Backlund instead (assuming he's healthy). If Backlund is healthy then he's going to get a shot at the big club over Bob since everyone wants to give Bob AHL seasoning.

Since Leighton is injured and those two guys are our only options, it's really in everyone's best interest that Backlund prove he's capable of playing on the big team this year.

Is the line up going to be closer to what it might look like at the start of the season?

Lavi said something along the lines of the closer it gets to the start of the season, the more the roster will contain regular players.

This is kind of trivial, but I wonder if we'll be wearing our new away jersey. I'd prefer the orange because I'd like to see the Islanders' away in action. That thing looks sharp. I know we used out away jersey against the Debbies, but that was the first preseason game, which is likely the reason.

Any word on whether or not flyers.nhl.com will have a stream of this game? I know it's broadcast on TCN but Comcast doesn't have any hockey listed tonight (even though I'm already signed up for Center Ice, have made a payment, and have open channels with no listings in that section...****ers). A stream would also be awesome if anyone has one available.

Edit: I'm in Pittsburgh, hence why I don't have TCN

RT @NHLFlyers: Flyers head coach Peter Laviolette says Sergei Bobrovsky will get the start tonight, with Johan Backlund backing him up...

Assuming Backlund is healthy, I'll be a little bit upset if he doesn't at least split the game.

We still have 3 more games (including tonight) If Backlund doesnt play tonight he will most likely start the next game. Instead of just playing a period, Id rather see him in a whole game. Being honest though, Id feel more comfortable if he wasnt injured for the past 4-5 months. I cant see him coming in and blowing people away after not playing in forever.

Which is why, assuming the organization thinks he's healthy (which they probably do if he's the backup), I would like to get him some game-time ASAP. Best to shake the rust off, find out about any possible injury complications, and whether he's capable of playing in the NHL or not as soon as possible. We've already seen a lot of Bob and we know what we have in Boosh.
