I might be wrong, but I think he played with Tavares in Oshawa...and am too lazy to look it up.

MacLean has a great shot and great touch around the net. Needs work on quickness and possibly vision. Sauer and possibly EC on the move.

Tikhonov is pretty gritty. I think the Coyotes expected him to be more of a scorer. He's probably a career third liner. As for MacLean, he's scored in the AHL but he's not the best skater and for whatever reason he's not impressed when called upon. The Coyotes had him up with the big club a couple of times last year before the trade deadline (he only practiced, didn't play in a game) to see if he could help. Obviously they didn't think he could. The Coyotes don't have any big stars up front in their organization but they are deep.

Later Dubinsky it was fun while it lasted!

I am not for the trading of Grachev but as I mentioned earlier this week I think Dubinsky+Grachev or Sauer could fetch us a very good return.

Dubi feels like he doesn't fit here anymore.

Maybe a 3-team deal?

Sauer for Tikhonov and then Girardi + Tikhonov for Brassard/Weiss?

He's saying it feels to him and a few of us that he doesn't fit here, he's not quoting Dubinsky.

Which I can agree with to an extent. He's not a center and we could realistically get a better LW packaging him in a deal.

You'd have an argument if that was what really mattered to most people. I could care less that he held out honestly.

Not gonna happen. Sauer hasn't earned a bottom six role yet let alone a top 2 role.

I agree. I think he is more valuable in a trade at this point for the Rangers than he is on the ice. Not saying he isn't a good player so don't jump my nuts. But I think they could upgrade on the wings by packaging him and a solid prospect such as Grachev whom I am a big fan of and have always defended.

Interesting. We clone Sauer then. I think we should clone Gabs instead...

If we give up anything significant for Weiss I will be livid.

And what LW could we "realistically" get for him?

No team is going to give us anything more than their version of Dubinsky for... Dubinsky. The only way we can package him with other scraps for a significant piece is if it's at the trading deadline and for a UFA player.
