Boogaard worst player in nhl?

Okay so through these first few games of intently watching Boogaard it is apparent he cannot even spell hockey, let alone play the game. Is there a worse hockey player in the nhl than derek boogaard? If we really wanted a bad ass fighter we could've got dj king who the st louis blues were will to trade and did trade for league minimum. It really is appalling that we signed this guy to a 4 year contract. Even worse is the cap hit! Over/Under until this guy is in Hartford?

He might be the worst player but the best fighter and that is all I care about.

The last time we had the meanest player in the league...Kocur, we won the cup!

He's not a great player, and he's overpaid, but he serves a purpose. He's a real scary guy. My biggest concern is that he'll never fight because nobody will want to fight him

Rumor has it that Easton supplied Boogaard with all sticks for the entire season in one delivery: One Easton S19, that's it

He needs one backup; in case he breaks it throwing it to the ice.

You're not breaking any news. This horse was beat to death when we signed him. We all know he's not Mike Bossy. (google it) I don't care that he's overpaid, AFAIC, it's equivalent to us paying his way on a few suspensions he gets for instigating because most of these "tough guys" don't want any part of him. He's worth the money for the simple fact that I don't have to watch us get Ike Turner'd on a regular basis. If you want to ***** about people not earning their checks, I would bet you that at the end of the season, there's a line and the first guy in it is NOT Derek Boogaard.
BTW, maybe you should join the scouting staff, since in two meaningless preseason games our rivals alleged tough guy decides not to fight a guy who could end his season before it begins, and two games against the RedWings, who might be the last team you need to dress an enforcer for, you have already seen enough to declare this entire contract a disaster. Good job, Miss Cleo. Devellano aint got **** on you.

If that's your pic in your avatar, you got your eye on everybody. Anyway, you got my point. Boogy's hands were not built for finesse. Getting pissed about this is like getting pissed because you putt lousy with your driver. It ain't the right tool for the job. But when you gotta smack the **** out of the ball, it's just what the doctor ordered.

Add Donald Brashear to the mix. He was a liability for us last season... turning pucks over and didn't show much grit at all either.

Let's give Boogey some credit. He went from 290 to 263 since July 1st. He's just going to get in better shape. If he starts taking stupid, lazy penalties, intent-to-injure, or becomes a -10 in the first 4 games then we can complain.

He may not put up much in the pts column, but so far I havent seen him be a liability or completely out of the play.

Hollweg was a liability
Brashear was a liability
Boogy seems to play somewhat positionally to make up for his lack of footwork, give him some credit.

If he just skates around and plays real physical and looks to run people over. I will be happy with that.

If no one wants to fight him than they will be sure not to take any runs at our top guys and risk getting challenged by boogey. Just having boogey on the bench will keep the other team in check.

He's a role player. As long as he fulfills his role than all is good.

First off watch hockey before you post. He is not Messier but he has looked just fine in pre season. He also has done a fine job scaring the crap out of the Devils and the Hartford comment is foolish

Atleast Boogaard isn't dumb enough to put his PIN number in his username.

Boogaard's problem is that it's been three games and he hasn't found anyone willing to fight him yet. After he destroys someone Rangers fans will feel more comfortable about him.

His contract is awful. Great. We should all be used to that by now.
