How does it make any sense to invite Guerin to Meet The Flyers and then give him a tryout contract?

EDIT: Giroux doesn't speak english as well as I thought he did.

You've got one person to thank for that, and his name rhymes with "holmgren"

I was upset with O'Donnell's play. I feel like Gus or Bourdon would be a better fit. OD couldn't pick up the guy in front of the net, again. Leading to another goal against the Flyers.

When I went to the STH BBQ and waited in line for Giroux, when it was my turn he said something and I didn't understand a word, but when he ran off to the bathroom I put 2 and 2 together.

I barely remember seeing or hearing them out... at least shelley. So, I guess shelley was invisible for the entire game, except when he went in to defend powe.

Sounds good to me. 4th line goons should be like Milford men; neither seen nor heard. Until their needed of course.

I was very impressed with Leino in the 2 periods I saw. We saw the same superior puck possession skills he had in display in the playoffs. I love his patience on the half wall on the PP.

This is the first preseason game I missed so I can't really comment, but shouldn't we have blown them out of the water? We pretty much had an NHL lineup and they had essentially an AHL lineup. I'm surprised they even had enough vets to ice a team. It does look though from the boxscore that maybe the refs felt important.I guess that can equalize things out a bit.

Roloson made a few very good saves especially one on Coburn. For a 40 year old goalie he did not look too bad.

I was at the game 8 rows off the ice where the Flyers defended twice so I had a good opportunity to look at Bobrovsky. Certainly you can see the guy has talent, but I still would like to see him play against a legitimate NHL team for 60 minutes.

I cannot say that he "put on a clinic" as another poster said. He played a good game, but, using the Leighton haters arguments, the defense blocked a good amount of shots and cleared out some juicy rebounds and he rarely had to make any multiple stops.

But, OT, how bad are the Isles? They may be mathematically eliminated by the All-Star break.

Bobrovsky did not have juicy rebounds not in front of the net he didn't. He was not really tested in 1st or 2nd but in 3rd he've made some very nice stops, nothing like the work Roloson had to do but decent.

By the way our D was missing a few key players and Carle had at least 4-5 turn overs.

Yes, overall NYI iced very crappy team.

By the way if I do not like Boucher or Leighton because I think they suck does it make me a hater or do they actually suck?

Well, that was a split-squad situation, with a lot of their better players not here. They're not going to be competing for a playoff spot given the strength of the division, and the injuries they have already suffered are a big blow, but I think they'll be feistier than their record by the end of the year.
