damn you beat me to it.

off to the khl for ringo.

this puts an end to a career that had potential.

i will eat crow now.

I WAS WRONG ABOUT ENVER LISIN.

i will leave with this....

#50 ENVER LISIN (Phoenix Coyotes) (RP projection: late first round)

Projected to be a late first round selection, Enver Lisinís drop to this late into the second round was quite a surprise. The young winger may have been the fastest skater available in the draft and has a wealth of potential. He may be a bit of a project, but the Phoenix Coyotes clearly came away with a steal in the second round.

15. Enver Lisin ó Dynamo RW
The gamebreaking ability is obvious and undeniable ó as are the lack of effort and work ethic. A real enigma. May be the best pure sniper in the draft with dynamic quick strike capability. Fabulous skater with speed, balance, and acceleration. Very shifty and explosive with a powerful stride. Shows the kind of quick stick and soft hands you canít teach. Great lateral movement and puck control. Can control the puck easily with skates, kick it up onto backhand and fire, all in one motion. But heís lazy and doesnít come back on defence, and doesnít have a clue on those few occasions when he finds himself in the d-zone. Takes lazy hoooking penalties and is selfish ó doesnít give up the puck to linemates who are in better position to score. Basically uninterested unless the puck is on his stick in the offensive zone. Can be invisible for 58 minutes, then pounce and break the game wide open. Very 1-dimensional, but itís a helluva dimension. Projection: Tantalizing, underachieving scoring winger. Style compares to: Alexei Kovalev

There's a difference between them saying it when he is a raw 19 year old in Russia and you saying it 5-6 years later when he couldn't crack the top 6 of a team begging for top 6 forwards and then was traded for Lauri ****ing Korpikoski.

Alright, so we have to officially stop bringing up Lisin every time ODC likes or doesn't like a player. Seriously.

He did have one of the nicest goals of the season. I forget the opponent, but it was a game I attended. He created room and skated alone to the blueline then unleashed a WICKED slapshot right past the goalie. One of the hardest shots I've ever seen in person. You pretty much couldn't track the puck...you just saw the lamp light up.

Other than that...he's a colossal MEH

pretty sure that was the kings game and he beat jason labarbera coming down the left side a few strides ovver the blue line.

i dont remember the shot being all that hard.

labarbera will tell you he missed that one.

Lisin sucked. Decent guy it seemed. He will be a good player in the KHL.

And lay off ODC. We're all wrong at times. Move on.

Definitely one of the dumbest hockey players I've ever seen.

He had some tools, but I dont care if he was playing with a rocket up his ass, he was bound to go nowhere without a brain in his head.

Agree. We can no longer hold it over his head, he has repented for his sins.

ODC, who do you fancy this year that we can rib you about when they nosedive in to obscurity?

Why do you always like the dumb ones?

I hate that red line blurb, btw. Alexei Kovalev? How does he at all compare to him? He was a sniper not a playmaker. Zherdev is a Kovalev comparison. If anything, Lisin is more in the Bure mold.
