the Carolina game is Jan 20th. just sayin.... ill be there.

in addition to my earlier post, since i live smack in the middle of PA, i will most likely go to see them in PIT and probably PHI also. WAS is a bit of a stretch for me (cant STAND the traffic), but im in a good spot to see a few NYR road games this year.

Here is the info I can give to those in Buffalo:

TV: Most games will be blacked out on MSG. Sometimes the game will be on MSG HD, but you can't count on it. I used Center Ice last year and the only games not on it were those on VS, NBC and one on the NHL Network (so I ordered that digital tier for the weekend, I think it cost me 48 cents, totally worth it.)

Live: The HSBC arena is really nice and the fans aren't too harsh to visitors as long as you're respectful. If you're not an ass, they usually won't be either, although that's not a 100% definite. You can see the action well from pretty much every seat in the arena.

Hotels: I don't know many in the downtown area, but I stayed at the Adam's Mark 2 weeks ago for a wedding and my friend stayed there when he came up for a game last December. Really nice hotel and it's within a 10 minute walk to the arena.

Bars: Pearl Street Bar and Grill is a great place to get a few beers and some food before or after the game. Again, you'll have to deal with harassment from the locals if you're sporting a Rangers jersey, but if you take it all in stride, it shouldn't be too bad. There are other bars on the other side of the arena (Cobblestone is one) but I don't know many of them.

After the game, Chippewa St is a good place to go where there are options for bars. Bayou, PUR, SoHo are 3 bars on "the strip" that work well. There are other bars in the area too. They may not begin to fill up until midnight or so, but they're open until 4am so that's a plus.

I wish I could come up for the game, but I have to work on Sunday night and it's probably not in my best interest to do so since it's a 6 hour drive... dammit.

Will be at both games against the Panthers, since I got season tickets for the Panthers yesterday. Im not even a panthers fan, just love to watch hockey. they had a "name your own price" promotion. I got 2 seats $200 each for the whole season! I still cant believe it.

Depends on the opponent/day of the week... They do variable pricing with platinum, gold, silver, and bronze. The first Ranger game being opening night will be either platinum or gold (don't feel like looking it up) so it'll be one of the more expensive ones. The other game would probably be either silver or gold, again, depending on when it is... I actually have to look into that one, as I may attempt to go up for it and bring a conglomerate of Ranger fans with me....

agreed. If it wasn't Super Bowl weekend I would be going up for the Feb 5th game. The atmosphere in the Molson Centre (or whatever it is called) is great, and you have all the naked women you want just a short walk away on St. Catherine's St.

Most likely I'll be in Atlanta for the 1/22/2011 game.

It will be my 2 year old daughter's first NHL game.

If anyone is thinking of going to the Columbus Day game at the Coliseum, you can do much better on Stub Hub than ticketdisaster. Just got section 118 row E for $85 after all the fees. On ticketdisaster, cheapest they had was lower part of the 300's for $100+.

So long as you are paying them in American money, you can be whatever kind of fan you like. A few times, I bought Islander ticket packages just to get the Rangers games. One year, they offered a 6-pack and 3 games were against the Rangers. Bought it, went to the Rangers games and sold/gave the non-Rangers game tix to friends.

That place is MSG South.

So we have MSG, MSG East, MSG West, and MSG South. No MSG North

Seeing/Meeting The Rangers at the Coliseum

I am going to the game today with my family this afternoon and was wondering if anyone knows if we can get a chance to see/meet some of our team coming in. If so, where should I go and around what time? Also, where do the players exit from after the game?
