2010-2011 Official Tag-line: "It is what it is?"

More like it is what it isn't but IT is increasingly becoming obvious that the front office for this year is going to be using this line a lot as a defense mechanism.
The latest below is now the upteenth time I've seen it...

Quote:
At the same time, he admitted there are cap concerns if they carry 23 players. Bottom line? Can the Flyers afford to carry Matt Walker as a seventh guy earning $1.7 million and not starting? Shades of the cap crunch which snared Denis Gauthier back in 2007.

“It is what it is,” Holmgren said when asked about that scenario

http://www.csnphilly.com/09/30/10/Fl...895&feedID=704
Laviolette used it the other day with respect to Leighton and yes Mr Shafer is correct in suspecting it will be this year's tag line...all in favor say BOB!

BTW...I agree and have said it before

Walker = Gauthier......

I love it.

Someone I used to work with used to say it all the time.

The line itself is generally a cop out.

As an engineer, I use that phrase all the time.

Shockingly, I've somehow also been using "PLEASE WAIVE MATT WALKER" in my everyday jargon...

LOL - I was talking with a friend from Brampton while watching the Vancouver game last night (Niitty let in a horrid goal, and he said "can you imagine how Sharks fans feel?" - I had to say that I knew first hand). He'd never seen the Hitchcock presser, so I sent him the youtube - and laughed once again while watching it!

Yea, I loved listening to Hitch. People debate all the time about Hitch and his systems or whatever, but damn, the guy was a great interview.

That little postgame Hitchfunny is one of my personal favs...

Good call with the tag-line.

Although it is true that it perfectly illustrates how frustrating our management is, but you also have to admit that it's a popular phrase among all sports management.

Ditto, but the guy I worked with was a smack. So, I hate it - mostly because it was his copout.

Just Bumping this since somebody brought it up as an alternative to the 60 mins theme. Originally though it seemed people were ok with "It is what it is" I can go with both...

lol I like that you have both ideas in your Avy. Personally I don't mind which we use, as long as they are awesome.
