BY FAR the best nickname for him. Love it!

Just touching on some of the topics broached:

-No Kaleta tonight. Having neck stiffness issues again and hasn't yet been cleared to play by the doctors.
-Enroth played the whole game last night, so he will probably only play, at most, the second half of tonight's game. I do think he'll play, though, or they would've likely sent him back to Portland today.
-Rivet had a throat "ailment." He said that he got hit in the throat with a player's shoulder pad during practice and thought nothing of it. At practice the next day he swallowed hard and heard a pop. When he went to the doctor's office, they told him he had a broken blood vessel in his throat. He'll be fine, but after a summer of rehabbing from labrum surgery, he needed to see the ice a bit, and that won't happen.

My best guess at lines:

Gerbe-Roy-Stafford
Ennis-Connolly-Kassian
McCormick-Niedermayer-Grier
Ellis-Gaustad-Parrish

Butler-Montador
Morrisonn-Brennan
Weber-Sekera

Miller
Enroth

Frustrating that Center Ice doesn't have preseason games this year, especially when I'm browsing through where the games are normally listed and there are clearly open channels. For 160 dollars a season ("early bird price!") you'd think this wouldn't be a lot to ask...

I sure as hell hope Meszaros is more physical than Coburn. Braydon is afraid to hit people most of the time. He played great in the POs but I don't know where the myth that Coburn is physical started.

Stop hoping. He is not.

He is not afraid he just does not do it enough. Braydon has his moments. He is over 100-120-130hits a season (I think) which isn’t so bad .

Mezaros will be the new whipping boy by the end of Oct.

How come we can never get the Flyer line-up until the game starts? No reporters at the morning skates? No-one care enough to watch the pre-game warm-ups?

That's generous of you. I say by the 3-4th game and even that's taking the over.

Boucher and Bobrovsky are the goalies tonight.

Boosh starts. Bobrovsky backs up. That implies Backlund still not ready or completely healthy

Yea I pretty sure I read Boosh is getting the start again.

Im pretty sure this means Bob will be on the team opening night. I highly doubt they all of a sudden go with Backlund as the backup and then risk losing him on waivers.

Idk, I can see people really getting on O'Donnell's case for being slow... people have trouble accepting someone for what they are, they will want him to play like a stud and forget that he is 3rd pairing dman. Just go look in the Phillies thread at people killing Kendrick. The kid has a >.500 winning percentage and a <5 ERA as a 5th starter and people cry bloody murder over him, it is ridiculous.

Not to mention the old whipping boys like Carle (because, again, people can't accept him for what he is - an above average offensive dman with a few defensive shortcomings, but many less than they actually blame him for) will undoubtedly still get railed on for DARING to have the 2nd best +/- on the team and 30+ points, for shame Matty, for shame.

Shelley will get a ton of **** until people start to fall in love with his "antics" ala Carcillo last year.

Flyers don't announce the line-up until right before the game, apparently.
It's bizarre and ridiculous...
