I've taken the train to/from New Haven, not Hartford, but I can find out the details if nobody else has them... I live in Wethersfield (literally the town to the south of Hartford). I'm not sure about which hotels are nice or not but there are a bunch in downtown Hartford or in the surrounding areas. There is a restaurant called City Steam Brewery a block or so from the arena that's good. There are also other bars/restaurants in the surrounding street of the XL Center. Let me know if you're coming up, even though I don't know you, maybe I'll meet you for some beers and the game... I'm always up for beer and hockey. Ha Ha

Yea Amtrak is a nice ride up there. Made the trip a few years ago. Fun time.

Yes, it sure does.

Best place to get a beer is City Steam Brewery though.

i was once again really disappointed when the ahl schedule was released... i work for the cavs/lake erie monsters and i really wanted to see the whalepack down here at the q. while i understand why the ahl is a bus league, i really hate it. i wish there was more play out of the conference.

bummer.. at least i can catch the rangers down in columbus this year.

I remember going to some really odd irish pub right near the arena. Can't remember the name of it.

There was like six year old birthday parties going on. It was very odd.

Pig's Eye Pub... good place. Left several hundred dollars there years ago in a post-game rampage..
