I know that. I was just remarking on how he fared with the Phantoms.

I actually like Syvret. I think he could be a capable bottom pairing or extra man with offensive upside if he ever gets the chance.

I like Syvret, as well, but seeing as the team has little confidence in him, I figure let the Phantoms have him.

NEW YORK POST: Mark Everson reports Devils defenseman Bryce Salvadore underwent inner ear testing after being knocked out of a recent pre-season game. GM Lou Lamoriello doesn't expect Salvadore to be out for long.

I love it: http://www.csnphilly.com/09/30/10/Fl...895&feedID=733

Quote:
Thursday’s longer practice was just that, with a number of bag skate drills.

Three players said it was deserved for lack of focus both in Wednesday’s ugly win over an Islander “B” team and because of poor habits during today’s practice.

“I think it was him reminding us that there is a standard and we have to get better at, and one of those things is urgency,” Shelley said ... “There’s no punishment there,” Laviolette said. “We’ve got to be a great skating team. An hour and 15 minutes? I don’t think it was a bag skate. We did a lot of drills and made it competitive and threw some skating at the end of the drills.

Hey there Flyers fans, I'm not here to rub it in - just thought this might interest you as well: http://blogs.creativeloafing.com/dai...ith-lightning/ Seems like Simon is not planning to return to Philly after this season, negating all the rumors surrounding his "one year in Tampa"-statement a few weeks ago.

A few weeks back Gagne said something a la "It will be fun to spend one year in Tampa." Some people focused in on Gagne explicitly saying "one year" and took it as he not intending to re-sign with the Lightning, and perhaps even return to Philly.

I know, I'm the one who linked that. If I recall, the person who wrote it gave due warning to not take it as he's trying to come back to Philadelphia, that was wishful thinkers wishful thinking.

what rumors? most of us here were resigned to the fact he was gone for good. I wish Gagne the best.

I think the Caps jerseys are nothing special. Okay all-in-all. I'd probably dislike them though if they ever became regular jerseys.

Meh. I wish the Flyers would play some foreign team. I think it could be pretty cool.

They might say otherwise, but I suspect the Flyers have absolutely no interest in these European escapades.
