Very nice song and wonderful job on the GDT. I'm guessing "Break on Through" is in reference to breaking into the regular season?

I'm guessing we'll see Enroth this time.

Carcillo should have came back from the break stronger or faster or smarter - or something. All he's shown in preseason is that he's not capable of anything more than the 4th line - which makes him useless because the Flyers have plenty of capable 4th liners like Powe and Nodl. Replacing him with Guerin is just stupid. I'd rather see a young player get a chance like Holmstrom/Maroon/Legein/Testwuide etc.

It'll probably feature the rookies Enroth and Bobrovsky starting, mabye Backlund will finish out the game though.

Carter is listed as questionable for tonight due to the shot he took off his foot in the last game. Guerin will play.

Yes, Pwood, that was the purpose of the song. Last year, I use it for the last game in December.

Up front it looks like Ruff will go with the old reliable line of Thomas Vanek, Derek Roy and Stafford, which has proved very fruitful at times in the past, but all three have also shown stretches of enigmatic play, which forces Ruff to shuffle the lines.

The second line will probably feature Tim Connolly at center with Jason Pominville on the right wing and Tyler Ennis on the left side. All three have playmaking ability while Connolly and Pominville possess rocket shots. Ennis plays a lot bigger than he actually is down low and while this line may lack grit and size, it should make up for it in offensive ability. Pominville has been one of the most consistent players in the league throughout his career and when Connolly is on his game, he makes everybody around him better.

The third line should be a formidable defensive line to check the opponent's top line. Newcomer Rob Niedermayer will play center with Jochen Hecht on the left wing and Mike Grier on the right side. It would surprise me if this line totaled anything more than 20 goals for the entire season, but it should neutralize the top scorers in the Northeast Division and allow the Sabres' skilled players to shine offensively.

I believe Paul Gaustad and Patrick Kaleta will be fixtures on the fourth line with the left side switching between Cody McCormick and Nathan Gerbe. While Gerbe is small in stature he should fit in nicely with his aggressive play across the ice from Kaleta.

On the back end Tyler Myers and Shaone Morrisonn will make a nice top defensive pair. Myers likes to jump up in the play on occasion while Morrisonn seems to be very comfortable staying back on the blue line.

Kaleta healing from neck stiffness? Someone should just go and do the man a favor and chop it off. Pat would no longer feel the neck pains and he'd waste oxygen no more.

Going to the game tonight! Got some glass seats for 40 bucks a pop which isn't bad consider tickets in London were 100+!!! Hopefully Bob gets sometime, I'd love to see him live! Lets go Flyers!

That's weird I saw a interview with homer and he said Carter was fine, and Geurin was out with a infected elbow

Here is how Wayne Fish termed both injuries:

Carter out of practice

Jeff Carter, who suffered broken bones in both feet late last season, took a shot off his skate in the Friday game and was held out of Saturday's practice for precautionary reasons. Laviolette said Carter is fine but it's not known if he's available for duty tonight when the Flyers (5-1-1) complete their preseason schedule in Buffalo.

Short shots

Briere said he lost about four pounds while battling through a tonsil infection the past week. He said he had to have an abcess drained. ... Bill Guerin practiced for the first time since suffering an elbow cut (resulting in an infection). Laviolette said he will play tonight in Buffalo. + Backup goaltender Johan Backlund, who underwent offseason hip surgery, will see his first action tonight.

Do or die for Guerin IMO.

It would be nice to see Backlund get some action, although I wonder what he would have to do to take the backup spot from Bob. I think it is Bobs to lose now.

Replacing him with Guerin is just stupid. I'd rather see a young player get a chance like Holmstrom/Maroon/Legein/Testwuide etc.
He had two off-season surgeries and didn't start skating until training camp. It's a little unfair to say such a thing.

To Hell with the Eagles. The game should be fun to watch but I can't root for them anymore. Vick is and always will be a dirtbag. I can't imagine what other crap he's done and didn't get busted for. I don't even like dogs - but I sure as heck wouldn't enjoy torturing any living thing. So what if he did his time - he's still a piece of crap in my book.

That said I would still love to see McNabb's "oh shucks!" smile after blowing another game.

Yeah I forgot about that. But if Carcillo is unable to improve from last season - for whatever reason - then I would part ways with him. I guess it wouldn't be fair to do that to him just yet.
