Valentenko and McDonagh re-assigned.

LOL. Enjoy Hartford and buses Pavel.
I'm really surprised. Don't be too sure about the duration of that though. Both Valentenko and McDonagh were surprisingly good and I've seen some games. I found them better in a whole lot of nights than Eminger or Sauer....but I guess they're going with experience now. It might change sooner than you think.

Besides, that a look at who needs to go through waivers and who don't....you'll have your answer.

We should get Andrew Peters !!
No we shouldn't, but we should claim Locke for the lulz

Just like White deserves a spot over Darche and Halpern, but will likely start in AHL.

I guess Peters won't have his wish to fight Moen then.

Laraque received 12 stitches from his partner's skate practicing for Battle Of The Blades.

I had no idea he was even on it....skating isn't really his strength lol

Totally. Reason why I don't have White in my starting lineup.

Halpern is an experience veteran who's a lot better on the pk than White is.

Darche isn't technically on the team, he's a 13th forward. He starts in the press box (unless cammy is suspended)

Do you want White sitting in the press box ?

I'm sure Grabner could crack the Panther's lineup, but he was stuck behind a good team in Vancouver getting limited ice time when he's a skilled player.

I think Florida wants Weiss, Frolik, Booth, Olesz, Stillman, and Bernier to be in the top 6. Maybe even Higgins.

A lot like how Bryzgalov was waived by Anaheim, because he was a good enough goalie to be a number one and went to a team that needed him, Grabner will go to a team that needs a top 6 player and will get his chance to prove he's worth it.

His point was about the fact that you can't base yourself on the performance at camp to explain or not the presence of a player in a lineup. Darche was good, Halpern was OK, White was better. Yet, it means so much. It only means a lot when you actually have a battle between a rookie against another one OR a rookie against a vet you're just waiting for a reason to ship out of town....Aside from that, hope that you play like the second coming of Guy Lafleur to have a spot on the team. And that's not solely the Habs....plenty of examples everywhere in the league.

Up until Halpern was signed, imo that was White's spot.

Trust me, I'm pissed about White not being on the team either. However, I've had longer to cope with it, since I knew there was sadly no way for him to make the team, unless, like you said he played like Guy Lafleur.

I can't wait to see who'll get Grabner. Could really help a team out.

If anyone's as bored at work as I am, NHL.com is streaming the Carolina/SKA St. Petersburg game.
