Andreas NoGoal is an improvement over Bengay Bill Guerin...but still that dude needs to learn how to score.

Some of the best moves are the ones we never take. It's pretty sad that we're happy about something Holmgren DOESN'T do.

To paraphrase an old hockey quotation: "Andreas Nodl has the skill set of Thomas Vanek. . . and the hands of a statue of Thomas Vanek."

ha ha! Yeah I remember the boxer Roberto Duran way back in the day..his nickname was hands of stone. I think Nodl would give him a good fight with his cement hands..somebody doctor this pic..LOL

I lol'ed pretty hard.

Anyway, I've always liked Bill but this isn't the team for him. Wish him luck wherever he lands.

I don't think he's someone we can rely on for long stretches. Not that we necessarily can rely on the others, but I think they're much safer bets.

Let's give Holmstrom and Testwuide some time in the AHL.

You can go back to that if you want, but Laviolette certainly isn't going to. Giroux is by no means bad defensively.
If the Flyers thought more of Maroon I am pretty sure he would have got more of a look then 1 preseason game. Fine he looked good last night. Easy to stand out in the ****show we had out there last night. They probably have about 6 guys they can slide into 4th line after Shelley/Betts/Carcillo. I dont think Nodl is going to be a player that is going to play every night. Same goes for Holmstrom, Testwuide, Maroon, ect ect.. Its going to be a interesting week to see who goes on waivers.

Great move. I was all for signing him, that was before I saw him in the preseason. He looked awful. Slow as molasses. The young kids did a lot better than him. For once, Homer did something right in not signing Guerin. He just doesn't fit here.

Guerin doesn't have the hands anymore. This move was for the best.

I just hope that the Flyers don't go to shootouts very often so we don't have to hear how useful Guerin would be in such situations.

Carcillo hasnt done **** to deserve that spot, but I see Lavy giving it to him anyway. Carcillo will get suspended a few games in, with Nodl coming in and taking his spot. If Betts gets hurt, I see Holmstrom getting time.
