You will find that a lot of the ECHL contracted players are allowed to tryout in the AHL. Which means that some players have valid ECHL contracts that are not with the Reign and are in Monarchs camp. You will also find that many players with a valid Reign contract will also be in other AHL camps.

As an aside, you missed Garrett Zemlak being with the Reign. He was cut from Kings camp and assigned there. Not sure how the Kings can assign him when he was a tryout player and not a contracted player, but he was part of the first big cut.

I tend to follow the Kings' system and keep watch on movements of non-Kings, so I will let you know if I see any movements. Between the ECHL transaction log and the Reign blog, I can keep the rosters tidy. Let me know if you'd prefer I add them to this thread or PM them to you.

Monarchs bring youth, plus valuable experience

The Manchester Monarchs, one of the youngest teams in the AHL, garnered some valuable experience in the months of April and May.
Five months ago, the Monarchs gave the Hershey Bears all they could handle in the Eastern Conference finals.
Manchester eventually fell to Hershey, but four of the six games went to overtime and the series could have gone the other way with a bounce here or there.
Now, the core of that playoff team returns for a promising season that opens in Portland tomorrow at 7 p.m.
