I sort of feel bad for Derek MacKenzie, being paired up with Blunden and Clark is worse than a root canel. I've seen him try to engage several times tonight but he may as well be out there alone.

I really hate to be a party pooper (okay, that's a lie) but the Jackets didn't actually get any points tonight. On the upside - they didn't give any away, either. So ... well, there ya go.

I thought Mason looked good both goals he had pretty much no chance on.

Was also impressed with Moreau, if he plays like that night in night out he was a steal of a waiver claim.

Jakes goal was sick, top line looked uninterested for the majority of the night but its preseason.

Lastly, I hope Clark isn't on the team this year. I don't know how to get rid of him but I can't believe we have this guy over Chimera.

Tonight, Jakub Voracek cemented my impression that he had the best pre-season of the bunch.

Imagine him and Filatov having a break-out year and you have the makings of a team that just might make the playoffs.

There are only two so unless they're the same they're bound to different. C'mon Skraut, I - nay, we ALL - expect better from you. Like Andy Samberg vids.

Yeah, I was up all night working, and not thinking straight. Donuts-n-Dew ain't exactly brain fuel. The Sesame Street meme was the wrong choice. Should have gone down the Alanis Morissette route and pointed out the irony of both statements. If no one has made an impression, how can you solidify the impression that someone is having the best pre-season?

Jf didn't specify if the cement to which he referred was around his shoes or in his head.

Guys quick question: Is Huselius set to be on the top line this season?
I need a replacement for Burrows on my Fantasy team until he gets off IR. I was thinking Huselius, Brunette or Neal/Benn.

I really dont know much about him, you think he'll outdo the others that much?
His and Brunettes stats from last year are really similar.

If you need goals, go with Neal.

Yeah, something to do with Calgary fans thinking he looked like Beetlejuice from the movie out of the late 80s or something. Hence "Juice".

Of all the nicknames, that's probably my least favorite. However, he's come as advertised so I'll just live with the crappy nickname. Why screw with any part of the package that is mostly above average, if frustrating, but occasionally brilliant?

I always assumed Juice was named for the entertainer Lester "Beetlejuice" Green because they both have those bulging eyes.
