With Subban as his winger?

Whether I’ll be ready for the season opener is going to have to stay a secret for right now.

We never know with him. Our PP going to rule again!

I'm surprised more people aren't freaking out about that quote.
Even if he isn't available for the opener it sounds like it at least means he'll be back sooner than the end of October.

Can you say Metropolit v2.0? Watch half way through the season everyone will be on his dick. Then when we don't re-sign him people will cry. Then when a new kid or UFA takes his place the cycle will repeat itself.

Alex Henry is on waivers. This move suggests Roman Hamrlik, without benefit of a training camp, will be ready for the opener in Toronto.

Because it's not new.
Everyone from PG to Markov's agent to Markov himself have been hinting for months now that there was a very good chance he was going to be in the lineup for the season opener.

Even if Markov doesn't make it in for the first game, we're still talking about days not weeks until he does.

Yeah, there was some of that over the summer. However midway through training camp all the talk was that he'd be ready at the end of October. Maybe I'm wrong but that's what I've been reading/hearing.

Actually what was said was "somewhere in October"...

Those with a tendency for pessimism probably turned that into "end of October".

I think it's Price's fault again. Last season he cut him, this season he got him sick somehow.

Well, since he's on your fantasy team, he's never coming back.

Speculation is he'll be back for the opener on the 13th iirc.

He should be back sometime in October, max November. He's like Wolverine, he's a very quick healer.

I think if he plays a near full season, leads the Habs to a top-5 PP, helping out Subban succeed in the process, he could be at least in the running for the Norris.

He's like Kaberle, with much better defence.

Hopefully they're back pretty soon, Subban(and Gorges) was the only bright spot on d vs the leafs and i dont think just him alone will be able to help that much against pens offence, he needs to limit himself in the defensive zone a bit more like what i noticed he tried a bit last game, progressing the puck and passing in his own end.
