Wow... Suprised about Kennedy. Don't see him not getting picked up. Good fit for the Isles with Okposo and Schremp out perhaps..

Shocked about Kennedy. If nothing else he's a good depth guy incase of injury.

I'm thrilled White was waived.

No sense in trading for him.

Let the Oilers bring him back up via re-entry waivers and then claim him.

2.7 for Souray is not horrible if he can remain healthy.

Guerin....no thanks.

White I'm thrilled about being waived.
It may be a we will waive you to see if you will get playing time. White has to go down but if Kennedy clears he may just stay

ummmm so who is the spare F with Drury and Prospal out if both are claimed or sent down?

Only good thing is it gives a MZA, Weise , Byers hope of a call up

Buh-bye Todd.

As with most others, very much surprised Kennedy was waived. Kid played well.

Pass.

Surprised Kennedy was waived though. There's potential in that kid.

Would definitely sense that a move is coming though, even though that's always what we think.

FT was a -17 but Guerin had 24 goals... I'd take Guerin over FT in a heartbeat. I liked Kennedy, but I guess we have too many 3rd liners.

Weise and MZA are happy. Kennedy... kinda puzzled now, because both the Sabres and Rangers took a pass. Granted, he wasn't impressive, but certainly a serviceable piece to put in the lineup. Makes me think they're clearing cap room for now or for the future.

Updated the first post, according to Brooksie: "a deal for a Dman is likely in works".

Brooks thinks a trade is in the works for a D-man, anyone think Hale would be an upgrade over Eminger or am I on drugs he's been waived by OTT.

I would much rather have a Weise or Byers than a washed up slug like Guerin. Even Fedotenko is a risk for wasting a roster spot and the thought of having both him and Guerin is sickening.

Lets hope the deal for a Dman involoves Eminger, lol

I think Kennedy will clear and still be the spare F

I'm not advocating it, but the washed up slug Guerin had as many points as Dubinksy last year

I would take Souray, but not for Rozsival.. as much as I h8 Rozsi, he eats a lot of minutes... Souray might eat 20 min, but he'll be hurt half the season. Gotta admit I'd love to see him on the PP!

ugh...i really hope were not making a trade. I do not want souray and his bloated contract. I do not see Hale as an upgrade or O'Brien who has regressed. No reason to make a trade if it isnt going to improve the team.

Trust me take my word for it, Guerin was every bit as bad as Fedotenko last year. Guerin's goals last year basically came off of him standing in front of the net (mostly on the PP) and having the puck bounce off of his thigh or ass. He doesn't work hard in the defensive end anymore. The game has passed him up speed wise.

This season, I'd much rather have Fedotenko because Feds is actually a hard worker all over the ice, he just doesn't really ever hit.

That's why I think that Souray is still an option. His shot from the point is something this team hasn't had since I don't know when. This team is going to need a good PP to compete.

I'l have to take your word for it. I guess I hate FT so much because he was on so many rival teams.. and while I know Guerin was on rival teams, I always respected him.. I guess he's just over the hill now.
