Yes, let's continue to bash Chris Drury for the coaching staff's decision not to put him in situations that have been conducive to him scoring for most of his career.

Where do we stand on the "veterans in the AHL" limit?

I think the last true player who did all of that was Mess.

sucks to part ways with Kennedy....but given the final roster it makes sense

there just wasn't a spot for him

oh well...i'm not going to let it ruin my preseason

Absolutely. Now that Sather has seen who is available and has said he isn't interested in any of them, I wouldn't be surprised to see nothing happen.

I have highlighted all the things Marian Gaborik doesn't do.

Christensen makes good plays. He does have hockey smarts.

EDIT: Actually, Gaborik doesn't have an 'amazing' work ethic.

I'm sure the waiver eligibility had something to do with it, but if either of them were ready, they would be here. They could have sent Eminger down and no one would care if he got claimed on waivers. Or they could have waived Sauer. But instead, they kept Gilroy, Eminger and Sauer and sent the other 2 down to work on their game.

Most likely they didn't intend to keep more than 1 rookie on defense and Sauer was the best of the 3.

OK, so why is it Christensen and Gilroy? Simply because you don't like either one of them. Regardless, same deal when it comes to Christensen and Kennedy, Gilroy is not a factor as he plays a different position and the team is under the cap.

He was pretty much our best player down the stretch and scored more than half a point a game last year.....if he had played the full season with us he would've been our second or third highest scorer....

Seems pretty important to me, especially for a team that cant score to save its a.s.s

Why send Eminger down when you got Gilroy who is the worst defenseman in NHL...?

I'm not saying his second turn here was a success. What I am saying is despite his age and the fans tiring of him, he was still productive. At the time people wanted him to take reduced role. Looking back, who was he really blocking?
Ranger fans have always drunk the "prospect flavored Koolaide." So whatever flavor of the day. That wasn't my point (it was yours, I know).

I was commenting on The Bald One's production which you held up as a bellweather of his effectiveness. All I said was if you are the Co-coach and do whatever you want with the Owner and GM's blessing you better produce just a bit. Most fans realized he was playing on fumes and wanted him gone. I never forgave him for talking out of both sides of his mouth and running off to Vancouver for the bucks.

That's an awful judgement call, there are PLENTY of defenseman much, much worse than Gilroy. Can we seriously stop ignoring that Gilroy was a rookie last year?

its quite clear at this point that the coaching staff does not agree with you here

im not his biggest supporter...but come on

i can see how he's worth a shot...if he's still not getting it they can send him back down

Because they are by far the worst players on this team. They do not belong in NHL. Overrated softies.

I'll admit I'm not a Gilroy fan but Gilroy has clearly improved over the summer.

Your join date is October, your user name contains Eminger's #

Pardon me if I feel like you have a bit of a bias on this issue, considering you've bashed both Rozsival and Gilroy who are both RD, and in Eminger's way of playing time.

I did this pre-season. And you wouldn't see an improvement when he was exhausted by the end of last season playing about 2x the amount of games he did the season before. The Rangers should have planned on playing him about 60 games.

I would rather have MCD or Valentenko here. But if the thought is to give those two time in the A while simultaneously seeing what they have in Gilroy, I have no problem with it.

Gaborik is probably our best passer, some of his passes are insane. He was a capain of Wild, so he got leadership.

Christensen has NONE of that, be belongs in some Swiss League.
