Yeah, I can see Carcillo being suspended. Perhaps his ego is getting the best of him hah.

Carcillo will be fine (and fined). He'll act like a jackass at times but, as long as he's a bottom 6 player for the majority of his games, he will help the team.

He puts this team on the PP far more than he puts it on the PK. Only two players in the league are better.

And it is annoying to see the same group of posters say the following two statements:

1. Carcillo is barely good enough for the 4th line.
2. Carcillo will hurt this team if he misses time with a suspension.

Really? Those two concepts make sense?

Let me take you on an illustrated journey, my friends.

Me, upon hearing Billy G made camp, not believing it at first.

Then after hearing he was apparently going to make the team. And being generally indifferent.

And this is me upon hearing he was let go.

I dont know if he retired or what his deal is/was, OWen Nolan would have beena very ncie fit. Maybe he wants to only play a half year. Havent heard a peep either way.

How about Jere Lehtinen?

He's still thinking whether to continue his career or no. Sure he's played all his career for Dallas, but hey... they let Modano go, too.

- Cup winner
- Three time Selke winner
- Veteran presence (age 37, almost a thousand NHL games played)
- Since lockout: 86+87=173p in 307 reg season games.

He's been injured ALOT over the past three seasons (48 + 48 + 58 reg season games played) though.

Hmm, I tripped over my own number crunch (in a previously deleted post). If Lappy is going on LTIR, which he probably is, the Nodl is on the team. When Lappy is off of it, Nodl probably is too. I was going with a 22-man roster for some reason.

Wow. I'm relieved, but I still say he gets picked up to play a role somewhere if he still wants to.

What a story. Homer and Laviolette jumping for joy when he came to camp. Given prime locker room real estate, decent linemates, good ice time, stole Zherdev's number, even invited to Meet the Flyers...

Asked to play anything but dreadful and couldn't even manage that... Have a feeling Homer dodged a bullet by not inking him to the contract he had drawn up since the first day of camp.

Who thinks we should also waive Carcillo and pick up Grabner?

We want only the best for you guys. I had a feeling it was too good to be true. With the forward talent you guys have doesn't surprise me at all that he got cut.

It was still a pretty humorous result when you consider Fedotenko (every bit as sucktacular if not worse than Guerin last year) just got $1M from the Rags today.

The funny thing is, Guerin's infamous mustache was the result of him losing the shootout at Pens practice. Every month the last man out had to grow a mustache.

He wasn't anything special in shootouts with the Pens. He wasn't some kind of secret weapon like Erik Christensen or something.

Guerin couldn't score against AHL opposition, and looked god awful on the backcheck. All he had to do was play a demi responsible game and he would of had a contract.

Wonder if the flyers will claim Ryan Parent, you can never have enough depth on d. Convert Bartulis back to wing and he is your extra forward.

Parent now being traded and waived, while everyone jumped down Holmgren's throat, for wasting this amazing asset...

I'm pretty happy we actually got a 3rd for him in the end, and that we got it from the Pens.

Actually, what really irked people (especially me) was the cap management stupidity that was going on.

He followed through on that end of it with the Meszaros trade.

COuld you imagine the fwd they could have brought in if they had not traded for Meszaros? The logic is that is was to create cap space by moving Gagne, but it makes no sense.
