He's recently returned from injury. His team won tonight, 4-2 against Färjestad BK and he was a +4 playing on the third pairing with 15.22 TOI.

Ericsson was back on the bench again tonight as Hadelöv started for Skellefteå as they fell 2-1 to HV 71.

Mario Kempe only played 9.29 minutes for his Djurgården IF, going -1 in a 5-2 win against Timrå IK

Too bad for McGinn. I know he really wanted to stay in the AHL this year.
I know that there are quite a number of forwards down with the Phantoms currently, but I liked what I saw from McGinn, especially considering he was a late draftee. If I've counted them right there's 14 forwards still in Adirondack though, it might be better for him to go back to juniors than have too many guys in the stands/demoted to the ECHL.

What are the lines down there projecting to be, by the way?

I hope they don't plan on playing with both Clackson and Klotz as the norm at least. Poor Kalinski, going from having hopes of staying up with the big club to that.

It's maybe bad news for McGinn... but at least, it's a very very very very very good news for the Olympiques! ^^ I'm eager to see him back tomorrow! The fact that he was the last QMJHL player to return from the pro camps is a very good thing and I can guarantee that after one season with Ben Groulx, he'll be a way better player next year!

PS = And just like Claude Giroux, he arrived at Gatineau as a free agent because no OHL teams wanted him!

PSPhantoms said that he totally forgot to ask about him. He is going to try to get info tomarrow. Its ashame though. Harper did really well in the WHL. Was hoping he got a chance in the AHL. He looked pretty decent during the prospects scrim (from what I heard)

Also hearing that Eric Wellwood would've been cut from the Phantoms roster, but not confirmed.

well at least he can go back to juniors. It doesnt mean cut to the ECHL or anything.

Anyone find out anything about Harper?

I dont think juniors would be that bad for Wellwood. He would get a huge roll back in Windsor.

Wellwood being one of the later Flyers cuts then doesn't make the Phantoms? There's something in the middle that's lost there.

That's my thought as well. It doesn't make any sense.

He has nothing more to prove in junior, and while he'll get more ice time in Windsor, he's not going to change or improve his game. Playing against bigger, stronger players, even with less ice time, is going to do more for him.

Not to jump on a bandwagon or pump people up, but Jakub Kovář has supposedly looked VERY good this season

Maybe Wellwood was just sick or something and missed a practice. I'd be surprised if he went back to junior.

The Roster from the Phantoms Web-Site lists 13 forwards 7 defensemen and 2 goalies, Wellwood is one of the forwards listed. I'd be surprised to see him cut after his play with the Flyers.

http://www.phantomshockey.com/Pages/Team/Roster.asp

Oops, Nodl is not listed on that roster, hope that doesn't mean Wellwood is the odd man out. Will there have to be an odd man out?

In looking over all the college boys on the Phantoms roster, even if they don't have a good hockey team they should have a heckuva Book Club!

The book on him is that he's a one-way player, but the AHL is a good way to start fixing that. Maybe it was so bad that he needs the minutes the do it.

Ericsson was in goal tonight as Skellefteå fell to Timrå IK with 3-2. He had a svpt of 88, but I haven't heard anything about the game itself so far.

Simon Bertilsson had a bit more ice time than usual in Brynäs 3-2 win over AIK, he logged a bit over 19 minutes. This due to the late scratch of Lars Jonsson who is the anchor of Brynäs defense.

Mario Kempe had 11.07 minutes of ice time with two shots in a 4-1 loss when Djurgården faced Södertälje SK
