Monkey Sports Super Store in NJ.

Its in Woodbridge NJ http://www.monkeysports.com/monkeysp...key/index.html

I didn't see a thread on this and decided to post this. I've ordered from Hockey Monkey before but being from NJ and them being located in CA shipping was a kings ransom. My local pro shop is 45 min away from my house and this is the same distance as well so i will probably try it out as the season approaches. Anyone been here yet?

The people in NJ are very lucky. I have ordered from Hockey Monkey many times and I love the site. I wish we had one of those in IL. We have Total Hockey here and they are pretty good, but not as good as Hockey Monkey.

I'm staying in Jersey City over new year, which would be the best store to visit?

what part of jc? the closest for you would be ice house pro shop in hackensack. if you need new skates, that is the place to go by a longshot, just ask for peter. pure hockey in fairfield is a pretty big shop and has a bigger selection, but it's a good 30-40min from jc. there's also ice vault pro shop in wayne which is roughly the same distance as pure hockey. then there's the new monkey down in woodbridge which is a bit farther away still at about 45-50 min depending on traffic.

Went to the store on opening day, I don't think its fully stocked yet but they don't even have prices up yet. The store is smaller than Pure Hockey but a decent selection. Not as impressed as I was expecting the store to be a lot bigger. Also a hell of a lot of high schoolers working in that store

wow, finally! A hockey superstore in the NYC metropolitan area.

Did anyone go here yet? Stepping into those places is like being in freaking Disneyworld.

Thanks for the tip!!!!

Long time lurker here, but I figured I'd make an account to answer any questions you guys may have. I'm a monkeysports-NJ employee, so if you have any questions, whether it's about what we carry, prices, policies, etc, feel free to ask and ill answer as best as I can!

i checked it out opening day. no prices on anything yet, they said they didnt even have time to label the stuff. it seemed cool, but i mean, it def seemed the type of place where you'd be paying top dollar for something.

We're slowly starting to put price tags on the equipment. Most of the sticks are tagged along with the equipment. The goalie section right now is the least tagged section.

Also, if the goalie section, we also have the Bauer supreme and Graf skates in. They are not on display, but if one was to ask, an employee could run back to the skate room and pick them up for you

Do you guys stock these?

Are the colours actually like that on the gray version? It looks good on the HM site but the only photograph I've seen of them it looks more like it's white with bright blue lettering

Yes we do. We have a few at the store and a bunch at our warehouse. If youre interested in coming to pick one up, I would call before you leave and ask if they can put one on hold for you just to ensure nobody else snags it before you get there
