This kid is a gem! Why did he get sent back to Windsor to play in the O again this season?? That is stupid!!
Why put him back in a league that we has dominated the crap out of when you could put him in Milwaukee and let him develop more and play against pros. I would be pissed if I was Ryan!

as I've told you, numerous times, he isn't eligible to play in Milwaukee. He's 72 hours too young.
The public explanation is his age not being eligible. But they just don't want to embarrass the rest of the league with his mad skilz. They figure if they wait another year it won't seem so bad to the older AHL players.
all of the above. and while i am always sold on him in camp...after watching him in the preseason games..he has a long way to go. he definitely has skills, but he isnt exactly up to the speed of the game up here yet. unless there is a huge jump in his game next year, or couple wholes in our D, i dont think he makes the team net year either. Milwaukee bond next year.
He out played and out positioned almost everyone out there. The kid looked amazing, give him some time to build some weight and he will be unstoppable.
I would love to have Ellis on the Pens, and at some point I think Nashville will have to deal him for their own good. Being the kind of defender he is and Weber being a lock for serious PP time, it just doesn't seem as if Ellis can have the effect on Nashville he could on a great many other teams. Beyond that there's Jonathon Blum who is probably more ready in terms of physique, does many of the same things and is a great talent in his own right.

OR we could set him up on a PP line WITH Weber and have a pretty decent power play for once.
