How was that arena opener last night?

Crosby must have torched them, right?

Translation: I'm mad we lost lastnight.

I understand being mad about losing to a team you're used to beating the majority of the time (through phantom penalties, and no-goal calls) that played a netminder who just started his first NHL game and that was also missing their all-star defensemen, but that's no reason to **** up our board.

Run along now!

Penguins fans are worse than Yankees fans, and that's saying a lot.

How was the decade of miserable awfulness before the anointed one?

Just be glad you have Mario to bail out your ****** organization, otherwise, Sid the Kid would be the toast of the new Kansas City Scouts.

Please feel free to come back to this thread when your terrible city is relevant in the national landscape...

No one is that bad. Except maybe Knicks and Ranger fans.

Does anyone have a link to the original image? ESPN has their head almost as far up their ass as the NHL front office. Anyone see the "promotional act" last night from Toronto? A musical abortion, boring and small-time in every way. Crosby or no Crosby the NHL can't market for ****. God-awful. The league flourishes in spite of its marketing efforts, not because of them.

Sid nose-to-nose vs. Richards would've been the only logical theme for that image sounds like.

More importantly, did you see the guy's name who introduced the musical act?

His last name was like Stramalopopolopolous.

Toronto does a lot of things wrong, but George Strombolopolous ain't one of 'em. We like George. A lot. Except that he's a huge Habs fan, but I can forgive that.

Nothing against him, but that is a hilarious last name.
