The AHL's CBA has expired. The league + PHPA are looking to extend through '12-'13 so the league will continue in case of an NHL lockout.
Haven't asked my PHPA contacts on the status, but I'd expect things to be pretty much "status quo" in a new deal. Negotiations have been going on this summer (and perhaps even started before that, more intensely). CBA only "expired"/lapsed today.
Now, perhaps there might be some minor wrinkles that will cause some issues.
(FWIW, the CHL-PHPA CBA is also under negotiations. Their CBA expired end of May.)
