there is a little octoberfest downtown saturday.....no better way to get, um, primed for opening night than a german festival that goes from 10-6.

I remember that from a few years ago. It's out on the green between the arena, the hotel, the CMHOF, and the Schimerhorn, right? I might stop over if they have a fine selection of sausages or schnitzel available...

Obviously only time will tell, but he did beat Florida's highly touted prospect Jacob Markstrom out of a job a couple years ago in Sweden, was a starter in the SEL last season, and played for Sweden at the World Championships last summer.
I'd say at the ripe old age of 22, Lindback hasn't quite hit his ceiling yet...

Ok this post is probably just going to be one big tease, but I just bought five tickets for tomorrow night's game. Three in 330, all of which are claimed at this point. Two in 107 three (or maybe it was four) rows off of the glass. I'm about 97% sure it's also claimed, but there is a small chance it will be available. Anyway, if anyone is interested in the small possibility of getting a $93 seat for free (with purchase of two [2] beers for yours truly) send me a PM. I'll get back to you as soon as my friend finds out for sure whether or not she can go. I should know tonight or tomorrow morning.
