Isbister - Smyth - Hemsky
Chimera - York - Dvorak
Moreau - Reasoner - Pisani
Torres - Horcoff - Laraque

Sarno: Will get in moving Horcoff to second line, Chimera goes to the fourth line and Torres is in the press box.

Rita: He'll more then linkely swap with Pisani or Torres. If he doesn't light it up in the games he's in, they'll look to trade him by the trading deadline (I hope they don't though).

Brewer - Semenov
Staios - Smith
Bergeron - Cross

Ferguson

GXL

I'm thinking Stoll is going back to the Roadrunners for one more year. That will give him time to develop some offense skills on the PP and gain some more confidence by being the go to guy.

Hey LT you promised us a trade by Saturday!! You wouldn't lie to us would you?? Otherwise this line-up is the cold reality. Lacking a scoring centre and a solid top 4 D-Man. Our forward depth is comendable ad our D-corpse is able but there isn't much threatening about our team.

We need some overacheivers in a bad way. I'd feel better if we could tighten up the blueline.

Damn, I was hoping everyone would forget that one.

Oh well, I still think it makes little sense to hold on to Comrie if there are real needs that have to be addressed. Perhaps Lowe is waiting until there's a need, but Washington, Atlanta and others would seem to have a need. If they can get Taffe+, Stefan+, or Arnason+, imo they should make the trade today.

Why Arnason? Why not Calder or Bell? My hopes were that Lowe would sign Oates for his last year and let Comrie rot for the year. We can flip him for a first round pick at the deadline for a shot at Ovechkin.

Good point...With Nylander gone with a broken leg, maybe Washington could be a great trading partner with Edmonron...I believe MacGuire said that Nylander was pencilled to center the first line between Jagr and Grier??...Maybe a trade could be work out here...

In a completely freak occurence, guess who shows up opening night:

Smyth-Comrie-Hemsky
York-Reasoner-Dvorak
Chimera-Horcoff-Isbister
Pisani/Torres-Moreau-Laraque

PB: first night it's probably Pisani, but soon Torres, and Peter Sarno. (Eventually Tony Salmelainen and Jarret Stoll are called up permanently, making a trade seemingly inevitable.)

Brewer-Semenov
Staios-Smith
Cross-Bergeron (I'd prefer Staios-Bergeron)

PB: Ferguson, definately not playing.

Salo
Conklin

Wishful thinking, but hey, it's allowed.

Smyth @ center:

Isbister-Smyth-Hemsky
Chimera-York-Dvorak
Moreau-Reasoner-Horcoff*
Torres-Sarno-Laraque

*I know that Horc can play LW, could be learn the right side?

Smyth @ LW:

Smyth-York-Hemsky
Isbister-Horcoff-Dvorak
Moreau-Reasoner-Salmo*
Torres-Sarno-Laraque

I would actually prefer to give Rita that spot, but I don't think that MacT will or wants to.

I agree with this lineup - it is EXACTLY what I was going to write. Good Call

Isbister-Smyth-Dvorak
Chimera-York- Hemsky
Moreau-Reasoner-Salmalainen
Torres-Stoll*-Laraque

Horcoff*(injured), Pisani

Brewer-Smith
Semenov-Staios
Cross-Bergeron

Ferguson

Salo
Conklin

I posted this on another thread after I saw the last game against Calgary. I soooo wanted Rita to succeed this year but the truth is that he looked lost without the puck half the time. Conklin as back-up gives me cold sweats but he is all we have at the moment.

1st line showed good chemistry no reason to seperate. Rita gets till Horcoff gets better to keep second line job if he proves himself Stoll out and Horcoff in, Rita got put in checking line and grinder line roles I think he needs a chance on the second with talented line mates in a scoring role like what he was meant to do.Third line, best line last year keep it together untill/if Pisani messes up. 4th line size and checking puts a little wear and tear on opposition while Stoll covers for Laraque and Torres when they move a little out of postion to deliver punishment and PAIN.

1st d-pairing seems like it would work. I think Bergeron needs Smith's guidance and to let him know when hes not getting the job done or pulling his own weight plus I think Cross-Bergeron would get killed by opposition.3rd d-pairing lot of size, good at clearing out the front of the net and Cross can teach Semenov some d-stuff.

When Horcoff get back and if Rita has not played up to par
York-Horcoff-Dvorak
Rita is not a checker or a grinder/energy guy hes a goal scoring 1st/2nd line winger until u put him in the roll he was meant for and fails U can't say u gave him a fair shake.

My lines are looking like a real possibility for opening night...CHED just announced that Rita, Salmo, Wright and Allen have been cut and will return to Hamilton.

It's Toronto, like the Toronto Roadrunners. Hamilton is the farm team of Montreal.

Anyone want to venture a guess as to the Roadrunners opening night lineup?
