Rangers should finish the month 8-2 , they're playing the Leafs 3 times this month. Let's start with a win tonight.

I'm a little worried about tonight only because the Sabres played last night and didn't have to travel far, so they might be a little sharper now that they had a real game with their full lineup under their belts.

For some reason I predict a high scoring games, like 5-4 or something.

I'm going to be keyed in on two things: Stepan's decision making
and the Gilroy-Eminger pair (if that's what Torts uses)

Question what do we do if we get stonewalled by Miller who is a fantastic goalie? Haha panic on the boards! The offseason wa s a wate we are all gonna die!!!!

Prediction 4-3 Rangers. They always score early in the season.

If I had to make a safe bet i'd say 1-1 in regulation- the first elite goalie vs elite goalie match so far shouldn't be a high scorer. Won't make a wager on who wins though.

Injury report -- New York placed forwards Chris Drury (broken finger) and Vinny Prospal (knee) on injured reserve. Defensemen Marc Staal and Michal Rozsival are dealing with groin injuries; Staal is listed as probable for Saturday while Rozsival is questionable.
from the game preview

that's a joke, right?

You must have been listening to NHL Live yesterday. Stepan was on and that is a exact quote from him!

Very excited for this season kickoff upstate. I am studying in Sweden, so I'll be watching live at 1am. Anyone know of a decent (free) streaming source where a faithful fan can watch from the Land of Lundqvist? Your help would be MUCH appreciated!

Sucks that we have to face pretty much the best goalie in the league opening night. Hope we can surprise them or something and score a few goals early

It's not 100% yet. We'll get the official confirmation during the morning skate that starts around 11:30, according to Andy Gross.
