Lets Go Fly-ers. As long as they keep the tempo up and no team can skate with them for an entire game.

Danny B is primed for a big year.

Thats sad Flyers are in Eastern and Blues are in Western conference. I think they deserve to be in same division.

I'd say they have a lot of 2nd liners, but no top-liners. Their defense is much better than you're giving them credit for, as they the team finished 11th in goals against, and 1st on the penalty kill. Halak should only improve those numbers. And surprisingly after Davis Payne replaced Andy Murray in January, the Blues were the scoring goals at a pace that would have made them the 11th highest scoring team over the course of the full-season.

This is a good up and coming team, and anyone expecting an easy win for the Flyers is under-estimating St. Louis.

That said, this should be a great, fun game to watch. Good luck to my 2nd favorite team...after tonight of course.

Glad to see Boosh in net. He looked pretty decent in the preseason, lets hope that play continues.

LET'S GO

Same..

I just hate to see Bouch in net. He also rubbed me the wrong way with how he was "surprised" about Bob started the first game of the season.

not really, you know what you will get with boucher. He isnt a starting goalie. Should ride the Rushkie with boucher getting spot starts.

Hopefully Boosh kicks ass now that he knows Bob is going to be tough competition. Briere and Carter didn't skate today. I wonder if something is going on with Carter because he took a shot in pre-season off a skate and didn't return to one of the games. Not much was made of it but it was commented on by a couple of Philly writers on twitter. He's not getting a ton of ice time compared to Richie so I wonder if there is a secret injury that Lavi isn't reporting. Briere is probably still recovering from the bug he had a couple of weeks ago.

I hope the game is delayed a bit. They're unveiling a statue of Brett Hull and I have to work till after 8 so I'm hoping it will take a while, like the Laffs' home opener the other day.

Boosh played well in pre-season. He deserves to start.
Plus, I'd rather not give the rookie too many starts at the beginning of the season, especially if it turns out that he will be the Flyers go to guy down the road this year.

Don't mind Boosh getting the start.

If Bobo does manage to stick with us for a full season, he'll need plenty of breaks. He played 35 of 60 games last year, so he didn't play a ton and I bet he got plenty of rest before each start. Can't expect him to jump right into the on-off-on stress that the NHL schedule brings.

If he does stick, I wouldn't want him playing more than 45 games.

He deserves nothing. I deserve to hit the powerball.

Hopefully they can remain undefeated. St. Louis is a nice test for these guys after beating the flightless birds.

That's what I expected. Hopefully this means Bob will be starting the home opener. It should work out just like I had hoped.
