Did Zherdev mention anything through his translator? Is he going to show up in this one?

What about Hartnell? How many penalties is he planning to get? If it's over 20, he may as well work from home.

Fantastic job MSE - thank you! And you can't go wrong with AC/DC!

I'm sure he did, but what did he do to the coke machine? (however, I don't think I'd want to be present during a Keenan rant).

I like watching the Avs play, and love watching Duchene. The kid is something special.

The joint ought to be jumping tonight - here's hoping the Flyers feed off that energy and come out strong.

LET'S GO FLYERS!!

I was watching the St. Louis feed, and the ever objective Panger said that Pronger looked "tentative" in his skate and that he might be a ways off from returning. This may be bullsh, who knows.

I'd welcome Prongs back with open arms, but I'm not opposed to making sure he's absolutely fine to come back. The Flyers team has the talent to do well without him; they just need to execute.

p.s./edit: MSE, didn't you announce your retirement from doing the GDTs? Very glad to see you had a change of heart. Cheers.
Yes, well, I was overcome by the spectacle of misery some took in that announcement.

Imagine how Rich Sutter or Todd Bergen felt to name two. I think some of Mike's criticisms would fall under the guise of broken HF site rules.

For anyone keeping score at home: Pronger is skating with Carle at practice right now.

A side note about goaltending...

http://www.courierpostonline.com/art...violette-knows

Quote:
So who will Laviolette turn to tonight when the
Flyers (1-0-1) face the Colorado Avalanche (1-0) in
their season opener at the Wells Fargo Center?

He said Sunday that's for him to know and the
19,000-plus fans that attend tonight's game to find
out.

It might seem fitting that Boucher gets the call, if
only because of the role he played in the Flyers' run
to last year's Eastern Conference title, a feat that will
be recognized by the unfurling of the conference
title flag, the club's first since 1997.

But Laviolette's choice of goaltenders has been
difficult to predict and with the Flyers starting a
five-game homestand he could alternate his two
goalies without fear of losing the confidence of
either one. While the Flyers' goaltending has been
excellent in the first two games, their discipline has
not. They've already committed a league-leading 21
penalties and are on pace to lead the NHL in that
department for the third straight season.

Might actually be able to to watch this game. Curious, can anyone tell me their impression of Meszaros so far? Who has he been playing with?

For starters, are they airing the ceremony tonight on CSN?

And secondly, why does Pronger have to be injured for so long?

From the last few updates from Timmy P I think it's fair to be hopeful from Pronger tonight.

LOL at players not wanting to ask Pronger about playing.

Awesome news on Bob. Whoever has tickets to this game....you are some lucky mofo's. Should be a good one!

My take on Mezsaros is that he is a bit slow, but seems to be pretty effective in both ends of the ice. I originally thought he was faster with less D. Not worth the price tag, but he is a decent pickup IMHO.....may even blossom into the player he once was....still up for debate.

edit: may become trade bait, as well. could go either way.

Meszaros will likely blow forever. He's a glorified Randy Jones.

In any case... **** YEAH GO FLYERS **** I LOVE BOB
