Hey Pens' fans...

Better late than never, but I'd like to present to you SchoolYourPool.com Fantasy Hockey's Pittsburgh TEAM PREVIEW.

The brief story behind it is that we managed to find Balls and he really wanted to do a Canucks' team preview... we wouldn't let him do it without him doing the rest of the NHL in alphabetical order.

So we appreciate the read and encourage feedback in the form of comments, suggestions, praise and signed Crosby jerseys.

Factual errors: check

Spelling and syntactical issues: check

Use of the d-bag staple "uber": check

Well, sadly this wasn't my edit, so I applogise for points one and two... However with a writer named Balls, you'd expect d-bag staples... No?

Um... okay.

We can't make everyone happy, though if you had given specific examples I could have at least attended to them.

We expect to be around for some time, so perhaps we can make the adjustments you'd need to return. Its tough starting out (recently needed to migrate to a better host and temporarily lost everything, that was stressful)...

I will continue to post Penguin relevant content when we come across it... have a few prospect interviews lined up, those would be first. Maybe they'd be of interest.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are arguably the best team in the world right now. Having gone from the most woeful team in the league to a perennial Stanley Cup contender.
[grammarnazi]Well that's some pretty poor struture.[/grammarnazi]

I just don't understand the basis for some of the things that were written...

Among other things...
- Kunitz didn't find his way to the team last year. Shero traded Whitney for Kunitz & Tangradi two seasons ago, in the spring of 2009.

- Comrie originally signed to be the third line center? Where was that said? As soon as he was signed, it was revealed that Crosby called him and told him he was excited to have him on his wing.

- Tangradi was obviously not a cap casualty.

- Engellend likely taking the 6th spot?

Sounds like someone wants to be seen as an expert / get people traffic to their site, even though they're not experts. Much less good writers / editors. I'd say the hostility is warranted because this thread is basically an advertisement to go to another site, and the site's content isn't even well put together. Talk about balls. Also: in no way, shape or form is this a "News Article".

Or a cap causality.

Also:

- Sid has never won the World Championships

- "in lieu of" does not mean "on account of"

- complementary, not complimentary, unless Kunitz and Comrie are shameless flatterers

- Arron, not Aaron Asham

- "de facto", "shatter", "gritty", "grinder"...you get bored after reading this stuff for the tenth time - invest in a thesaurus

The only reason people would look to a site like this instead of just going to Forecaster for a player rundown is to get information on how players have been used in camp and pre-season, and get some perspective on how they might be used over 82 games...and most of SchoolYourPool's info on that front was straight-up wrong, on top of the bush league delivery.

The whole thing read like an overlong post from a mediocre HF poster, not an entry from a professional website.

Yup... brutal. I will speak with the other editor and ask if he even looked at this article.

Sorry Pens fans - your article has been one of the worse ones of the bunch, except for maybe Dallas.

To note, and because I am the co-founder of the site, many of the other previews were well received. I realise mistakes are going to be made, but I put my HF reputation on the line and I can say with certainty that I have less than zero credibility in Pittsburgh now. I will take a personal interest in the Penguins content to at least get back into the black.

(I will also be re-editing the article with grammarnazi style)
