It's the classic football dilemma. Do you rest guys in week 18, or do you keep them playing to keep their timing sharp?

IMO, getting your team to peak at the right time and managing everyone's icetime so that they're fresh in the spring is the toughest part about NHL coaching.

Is week to week enough to move MoJo to LTIR? If not, wouldn't the Caps need to make some sort of roster move to bring MP up?

they could move MoJo to IR, not LTIR, and make the move, but I just think they'll just pust Steckel and Gordon in the lineup.

I don't have a problem with Beags. Except if Beags is called i'll expect Stecks to be 4th C and Gordon to 3rd if MoJo's injury takes a while.

Ah. Thanks. Is LTIR only needed if they didn't have the cap space for the call-up?

They don't really get any benefits of LTIR correct? Its not like they're adding a dude that puts them over the cap.

OT: god I've been on hold with ASUS for 45 min for my damn laptop that broke after 6 weeks and they've made me pay for the pleasure of shipping it to them!

There might be insurance issues involved with LTIR.
