good prospect would like to play for calgary

nice q and a about a nice finnish prospect. if he could pick a team he would go with calgary.

i love him, not just because he likes the flames. he has a pretty good size and competes with men in the finnish elite league.

7 GP 2 G 4 A 6 PTS. so far this season.

Wonder if it's because of Ortio and Kiprusoff, Jokinen, Hagman? Are we a "Finnish Destination"?

By the sounds of it we will need to be pretty high in the lottery, therefore another season of missing the playoffs.

I think if we could trade up in the draft for him, we should do it.

He appears to be in the 10-20 range as is. Considering that we have no 2nd or 3rd and Sutters draft past, he will most likely trade down to get a 3rd. Unless we are within the top 20 then anything after that is really all a crap shoot.

He is. Would be a very nice pick-up. I like the Swedes and Fins.

Oh, now this guy is here. Very potential player with great puck skills. I haven't noticed that comment where he said that flames is something like his favorite team to be drafted. That's very nice to hear and he has so much talent, that I think that he is going to be drafted in the first round.

It is too early to say, which team will pick him, but some team does and it wouldn't be bad, if Flames is that team

Teams won't pass on him just because he says he wants to play for the Flames

That being said, thats neat that prospects want to play here. I mean if i was a prospect I'd either play with Detroit (dynasty team) or Pittsburgh (cup contender) or Vancouver/Florida (nice weather)

6 points in 7 games in mens league?

I'm going to follow this guy until the draft

He says he wants to play in Calgary? Surely he jests. Doesn't he know of our poor draft history, our bare prospect cupboards, and they we always trade away or never play our young guns?

He's just in it for the money, then just like Kronwall, back to Europe he goes.

Would love him here

I didn't want to have to use the sarcasm emoticon, but obviously, you didn't get it.

According to the hockey writers he is ranked 17th in this years draft so with a tough year we would be able to select him. Not to say even if the flames do have a good year he could slip down a few spots from his predicted ranking and the flames could choose him.
For a look at the top 60 predicted available in this years draft:

If the guy tells all the scouts "I want to play for Calgary" they will all pass him.

Maybe Sutter could, heaven forbid, trade up for once.

Probably just trade our 1st for a solid 30 year old vet.

Hope Sutter skips the part of the interview about "modelling my game after Semin".

we have to remember that we have feaster on board now, too. I bet he pushes darryl to trade up, that is if we have a good season and actually need to trade up.

GP 30 G 12 A 7 P 19

i think he is in the range of the 6-12st pick. that is sadly the range of the 2010-11 calgary flames.

but hey, would be nice to get him.
