Another thought was "Washburn and Healey and Zent, oh my!"

But keep the suggestions coming.

The real question is: why would any one come to an Internet forum for dating advice? It's like asking the Amish to fix your iPhone.

Grml. 4 of the 5 guys who wore #38 for us combine for a grand total of 24 games played...

How about this: OT: 38th Obsequious Banter Thread: I hope I don't get Washburn in the Bathe. Or at least that it Healeys quickly.

I realize every fan base has its good share of them, including the Steelers who i have been a fan of since I was 8 years old. But my God they take it to a whole new level here. Most act like the Pats didnt exisist before Tom Brady.
Ask some about Steve Grogan and they go who? .

Easiest way to detect bandwagon fans? Ask about the team's long snapper.

You can pull the same trick (and I often do, just to be an *******) by asking Celtics fans who Dennis Johnson was.

EDIT: Of course, by the same token, you'd probably get a lot of blank faces from the new Phillies fans if you asked them who Lenny Dykstra was. Just comes with the territory I guess.

Hopefully she answers me sometime during the day... I would probably call her to make sure. I know she can be busy, but still.

Most bandwagon fans probably don't know what a long snapper is.

Beat me to it. If you hop on an Eagles bandwagon any time after 2004, you're probably an idiot. (I'm choosing to not count the run with Garcia, because if you hopped on it then for any reason other than being a Jeff Garcia fan said fan would still be very silly)

As for the next thread name, why not something like "OBT 38: Waiting for something relevant" since none of our 38s our really worth the title name?

I would say if you're hopping on the Eagles bandwagon, you're probably an alcoholic.

what are people's opinions on submitting a resume for a job on a friday? I've heard never to submit them on Monday's (because its too hectic catching up from the weekend), and Friday's (because everyone wants to get home and your resume is likely to get stashed away and then forgotten about over the weekend...

I had the most success getting interviews by calling directly and then sending my resume while I was on the phone with whoever was in charge of hiring. Never really considered which day of the week though.

That's a tricky one; depends on the employer. I bet most tend to let resumes pile up and get through them when they get around to it, as opposed to reading each as they come in.

I can see the logic behind not submitting on Friday, though.

The Pens board is on full meltdown mode over their team its quite entertaining. We've started the CEC curse.

We gotta take advantage of this no Jordan Staal thing Saturday too, also no Orpik or Michalik either so we reeeeaaaally gotta take that one.
