Let's Go Fly-ers, TB looks pretty good and have a lot of high power players that can score and also defend.

I expect the WFC to be rocking for Gagne before the game, show him how much we appreciate his decade in Philly.

Great GDT as always MSE! Gagne returns and I do hope that he has a good game but that the Flyers win. Loved Gagne as a player, was sad to see him leave, and would be cheering for him loudly if I was at the game. Go Flyers, win this game, and I hope that Gagne has a good game and a very good year for the Lightning.

I have not seen much hockey this season so far, but I am not dissapointed in Carle at all. He looks good.

For those who want to check out the tribute if you can't catch the game live tonight... this is supposedly it. Looks a little thrown together last minute(if not fake), but you never know with this organization. Guess we'll see tonight. *shrugs*

Thanks Gagne

The way it's worked out so far, the Downie-Carle trade seems like a win to me for both sides, unless you consider the first we gave up to get Eminger. Downie+1st seems a little much for Carle, but what can you do/it is what it is/etc

It will be very weird to see Gags in a TB jersey.

John Carlson/Jacob Markstrom + Downie for Carle

Carle has played well for us, but his contract created cap hell for us and Eminger was a waste of assets

I will never forgive Holmgren for trading Gagne for a pile of dog ****.
i realize anyone can be traded, but the return was inexcusable.
At least we got 6 million on the bottom pairing and 1 to 1.7 sitting in the pressbox every night.
**** you Holmgren.

Agreed. I was never a Carle fanboy, but this season he has looked very good, even when not paired with Pronger. He is making smarter decisions and has been solid defensivly. I'm happy with how he is playing so far.

Does Randy Jones get any PP time? The way we've been getting break aways on the PK, think of the carnage

Well, if he does, I won't be mad. Especially since he's on one of my fantasy teams.

Gagne vs. Boucher. The NHL record is 7 goals in a game. Does it fall tonight?

didn't even get a chance to think of this before the game with all the hoopla going into it already. Here's to hoping he does, although if he somehow plays decent and or god forbid, scores a goal, who wants to bet our bright GM won't be pining to somehow clean house to get him back?! hahaha

Well last game he played 6 seconds on the powerplay... plenty of time for a shorty!

Go Flyers... My ideal situation, Flyers win 6-1, Gagne pots one. If Bob was starting i would have wanted 6-0 shutout with Tampa getting 1 shot (by#12).

In other news, i got my summer reading project back today, of course I read the book "Orange, Black & Blue" about the Flyers. My teacher gave me a 20/20 and wrote "The Puck Stops Here". Not sure what he meant by that lol. LGF, Zherdev better show up.

New plan. Send Shelley to run one of their PP pointmen, forcing them to use Jones

Shelly gets suspended for a few games and Jones gets on the pp.... I see this plan as a win/win situation for us.
