Hate to go off topic a bit but thought I'd ask some people who would know. Our ECHL team here got Brad Cole can any one give me a scouting report on him. He played a lot of games for you guys last year!

See my earlier post about Keith Seabrook. Cole tends to shovel suicide passes into the skates of his D-partner.

But on the plus side, Cole's girlfriend is a hot soccer player. Just kidding. But she is...

Tough weekend for the Heat against Rockford. Showed up completely listless on Friday, then blew the lead and lost in a shootout on Saturday. Still a great time all around.

I don't expect much out of the Heat this season, unless the kids can replace us losing five of our top six scorers from last season. Unfortunately, Calgary did little to fix their own team and nothing to improve ours.

But at least T.J. is down now!

Heat Shutout Wolves 3-0

Who watched the game on AHL live Wednesday? How about the Defensive game the HEAT put on. Allowing only 13 shots. Who was your star on the D?
Seems like many aren't giving this team good previews. What are your thoughts?

The Hockey News gave them predicted them to finish about where they did in the standings last season, but for the sophmore campaign they have us at dead last in the division.

If the Heat can find one identity, then they'll go just as far if not farther than before. But at the same time, the team definetly overachieved. I went to both games against Rockford over the weekend, and it seemed like I was watching two totally different teams each night.

This year, most of the AHL veterans are gone and we have a lot of rookies cutting their teeth. Some will adapt to the pro league right away, while others will go through some growing pains.

Didn't get to watch it, so I will stroll down easy street and name Keith Seabrook for the offensive output. He is typically the top guy going in both directions when I see the team play. Otherwise, I've been happy with the veteran play of Joe Piskula. Couldn't tell you how he did in that game though.

And by the way, sorry to have changed my avatar by the time I got your compliment. Thanks though!

I think they might surprise a few, if the last game is any suggestion as to their defensive play. The offense will just come with some of the fast guns we have.

I liked his play the last two games. Maybe he needed a push.

Mixer!

Unfortunately, as I'll be going with a group from work, we'll be doing our own mixing before the game.

You should try to stop by, the green me will be there (Pictures) and potentially a few players.
But I need a RSVP list to get up to that area if you can make it.

Do you need a contact for group tickets? I know a few?

Yes, as the person "responsible" at my work for doing the booking had lost the contact info. I want to say his name was Steve somethingorther. I could always double check, otherwise I would graciously accept any contact that you may have.
