Just mix the players of the second and third line for a while and give them equal opportunities to produce.

what about

Eller - Gomez - Lapierre

Pouliot - Boyd - Gionta

That is pretty interesting,I wouldn't mind seeing it but I doubt Martin splits Gionta and Gomez

He should. I think Gomez and Gionta are a nuisance right now for each other.

Slightly off topic but didn't wanna start a new thread.. thought I'd share a pretty funny interview with Gerry Dee from the Score and Gomez.. also theres one with Pk subban if u scroll down. Gerry Dee's a funny guy and with the sense of humor Gomez has it makes for a funny interview.

If it means Pouliot with Eller, I don't mind. It might be Martin's way of punishing a player he can't bench. Gomez is not on his game yet, so Pouliot would benifit from Eller. He needs someone to set him up, he's a potential Cammy type of player, his stick is a lightSabre and he's quick; if only he wasn't a ballerina...

But Pouliot does get setup, but at the moment he can't find the net with a map, a compass and a ******* GPS.

How many times do we have to hear "et Pouilot rate une chance en or" and "et Pouilot fend l'air" when set up with a clear line on an empty net?

Same can be said of A.Kost too.

He took a couple of good shots that were blocked or that went wide, but not by much.

The way Gomez and Gionta have been playing, I'd call that line the 4th line. Sticking Moen there just confirms that

I dont know why they always say 4th line when referring to the Boyd Pyatt line.

I think it's more the 3rd line.

Pouliot Boyd Pyatt > Eller Halpern Lapierre

This is ridiculous... Pouliot has been the best player on this line so far. I understand that Martin wants to shake it a bit but with Moen? Try Eller, but not Moen!!! Martin will never change.

That's totally gay.

Every single guy in the lineup would be better than Moen on this line.

I do not feel like he punish Pouliot, I feel more like Martin have a ***** on Moen.

Because this is permanent change right?

It couldn't be just to spark Gomez and Gionta up?

There is NO CHANCES that Pouliot plays most of Friday's game on the top line, right? We've never seen that before!

Holy crap this fan base is polarized. Praising JM to be the best coach after last year's playoff, after nagging on him all year... I think he's doing a good job. At least we don't have 2-3 dman playing upfront anymore.

EDIT: Oh and PLEASE don't bring up Guy Boucher. But, but... Guy Boucher would be so much better for this team! I've been hearing this fan base ***** about rookie coaches for the past 10 years. Now we finally get a very experimented coach, who coaches like a very experimented coach, and you're *****ing that he's too conservative. JM is the ideal coach for this team of defensively smart and hard-working players.

LOL. No no, I just assumed that if I was talking about practice and someone posted a video, that it would be Iverson.

Something just isn't working with Pouliot. I like the guy a lot. But since last years playoffs I find he has been suffering from some kind of Chris Higgins syndrome where he could make a brilliant play and then fumble on shooting a puck in a wide open net. He is working hard. He trained hard this summer to add some muscle. I think if the guy got a couple of lucky breaks it would do him a world of good. I want him to succeed.

That said if we are going to put someone else in his spot for a few games I'd rather see Eller, or maybe even Boyd.

This is precisely why he needs to be replaced by a veteran (Like Moen) until he can find his scoring touch. He'll have way less pressure on the Boyd line, and the scoring opportunities will still be there. As long as he gets time on the 2nd PP unit, i think this is a perfect situation for him right now. Every time he jumps on the ice with Gomez and Gionta he's too tentative. The 4th (or 3B) line is not that big a demotion anyway, seeing as how well Pyatt and Boyd have played since the beginning of the year.

sounds like the symptoms of confidence if you ask me. All i can say is that he needs to keep trying working hard and the bounces will eventually fall his way.
