I'm sure it was only because of idiots like brashear in our line-up (and he rightfully deserved to get booed)

there should be player introductions this year.

Remember when everyone said we would forgive brashear after his first fight or the first time he stood up for a teammate? lol.

We're gonna see the same crap with Boogaard in, 30-40 games. He just doesnt have the history.

Wasn't his first fight against Orr at the Garden?

i STILL laugh at those people

Unlike brashear, boogard doesn't like to beat people via submission of bear hug, so i don't see him having that problem

And the people saying how he was better than Orr, and could "actually play hockey".

I don't know why, but I just have a gut feeling that Drury will be a pleasant surprise this year. LGR!

There's no way in hell he has another anemic scoring season this year. Drury will be Drury scoring 50+ points and, as usual, a bull on defense.

Agreed. He had injury troubles last year, and didn't have as good a team as now. If he can click on the top line, he could score 30 goals.

Sauer being scratched is asinine, he's been one of our 4 best defenseman thus far the first two games.

Staal, Girardi, Sauer, Rozsival.

Del Zotto has been an adventure in his own end. Eminger has been underwhelming.

There is no reason at all that Gilroy or Eminger should be playing ahead of Sauer. Tortorella is making a mind numblingly stupid decision here.
I think everyone is getting too worked up about Gilroy playing in place of Sauer instead of Eminger. Its still early. Everything will work itself out eventually...hopefully.

Third for me. Have a good time, man. The atmosphere at these is topped only by playoff games, jersey retirement games (which I've never been to, sadly), or late season games with huge implications.

What? I hope that isn't true. What gives Johnny Cakes the right to take such a fun fan thing away from us, especially at the prices we pay? This better not be the case.

If the coach decides to utilize him properly, then sure, he can easily score 50 points again. That all depends on Johnny Cakes, though. If you want Drury to score goals, plant him in front of the net on the PP with a unit featuring the likes of Gabby, Frolov, and DZ.

Yelled profanity loudly when I saw we don't play again until Monday. I can only watch half of this game. It's messed up that the Devils and others have already played 4 games and we have only played 2.

LGR!!!!

Going to be watching this one from the couch, my opening night streak officially ends at three.

To those going for the first time, make sure you're in your seats extra early, the atmosphere is awesome.

And just to weigh in on the brashear / boogie / orr discussion - Orr actually scored a goal earlier this week, I think it was against Pittsburgh. At least he can get some ice time as well. (not happy with Boogie not getting ice time allegedly due to being in poor shape!)

Going to be wind surfing at La Guardia Friday night, I'm hoping I can at least get the game on the radio, the AM station they're on is bloody awful.Disgraceful I can hear the Debbies on WFAN but the Rangers are hidden in the static.

LGR!

Also regarding the picture, looks like a cell phone job.Didn't we get a sneak peak at the center ice logo the same way?
Someone with inside connections posted a pic.

I think last year was about starting out fresh, a new year with the new coach, that sort of thing.Hopefully that picture indicates we'll have individual introductions.
