10/14 - Will tonight's game sell out?

Simple yes or no question and please explain why you believe it will be the case.

I think it will sell out primarily because of ticket give-aways. They were handing tickets out like candy on 1500 last night.

mmmmm candy. maybe they should hand out tickets with candy...

sellout. i think the giveaways will do it and people thinking it won't be a sellout will be on hand to buy rush tickets.

I would be pretty shocked if the home opener doesnt sell out.

I think it will because its the home opener. If one of the next 10 homegames doesn't sell out after today I wouldn't be surprised.

I agree with this. Sell out. Home opener. Rather be at a hockey game than raking the leaves. Excuse to be late for work tomorrow.

Yes, I know. Incomplete sentences.

Even the worst teams year after year should sell out the home opener.

It was pretty damn close. The max capacity of the arena I believe is 18,518. It was 18,444 announced during the game.

There were fewer empty seats than last season's opener. I'll have to do a look/compare between pictures but it was fun last night. I love having aisle seats and personable people next to me.

People next to me were reading the paper and I had Gangsta Wigga and his Bottom bizitch, who was wearing pink high heels, hip hugger jeans and a shirt that left nothing to the imagination, sitting in front of me. FML....

Capacity is 18,064, so they were almost 400 over capacity.

Ahhh, that makes sense now. The extra 500 come from the average from last season in Hockey News. Oopsies. Thanks for the official one
