How and when you became a Blues fan: I actually have no idea because as a kid my mother and sisters would get the living room on Saturday nights to do whatever and my father and I would watch the game in his bedroom
Favorite Blues Player: current? David Backes
Favorite Blues All-Time? Nelson Emerson, Brett Hull
Favorite NON Blues Player: active? Martin Broderr
Favorite NON Blues Player - Retired? Scott Stevens (He did retire a Devil)
Your Definitive Blues Moments: Against Chicago a Blues player skated across the Hawks blue line was met by a Hawk stopped spun there was another Hawk there spun again and on completing the second spin fired a wrist shot for the goal / I have never figured out who the player was, I thought is was Nellie but the player came in on the right wing and scored left hand corner of the net w/ a left handed shot (if anybody know this play please let me know! That play was the whole reason I started playing hockey)(I don't remember the year it happened it was a replay used for the intro to games late 80's or early 90's)
College Attended/Attending: Lindenwood
Hobbies: Studies, Poker and watching all Blues games(live or TV), any game that is televised
Favorite TV Show(s): Sopranos, Ninja Warrior
Ummmmmm, I think that is Nelson Emerson that you're referring to. I'll try to find a vid.

How and when you became a Blues fan: I was watching a Leafs/Blues pre-season game, it went to shootout. One of my favourite players, Luke Schenn (also a rookie), scored the winner, it was pretty funny since he's a defensive defenseman. But Oshie made a great move and lost the puck. And I was all like, this kid has pretty good hands. So I watched him a little more whenever I could over the next few months and fell in love. Then I realized like everyone else on his team was awesome too.
Favorite Blues Player: current? Gotta go with Oshie.
All-Time? oh man, it's tough, I grew up in Toronto and never really saw the Blues.
Favorite NON Blues Player: active? I have a lot of favourite players, some of which are: Ovechkin, Iginla and Schenn
Retired? I'm too young for this lol. Maybe Ed Belfour, I remember watching him when I was younger.
Your Definitive Blues Moment: Ask me in a year.
First Blues Game Attended: None, unfortunately I've never been to a hockey game at all.
College Attended/Attending: University of Waterloo. Waterloo is about an hour outside Toronto and has bars, liquor stores, and Research In Motion headquarters (the Blackberry people).
Music You Listen To: Mainly rock.
Favorite Band(s): Led Zeppelin, The Postal Service, Dream Theater, Stars (Canadian indie band)
Favorite Movie(s): Not a big movie person.. maybe American Beauty.
Favorite Food: Japanese food
Favorite TV Show: Numb3rs, House, Criminal Minds, The Big Bang Theory
Hobbies: Hockey and music, I don't play either though. Also gotten into Youtube way too much lately.

Your cousin played with The Blues (at least in their system). What is his name? I'm sure a lot of us would remember him.

An ex neighbour of mine (while growing up) (Ab McDonald) played with The Blues.

Yeah. But its from 2007. I suppose we could start a fresh one, but unless there is some clamor for it I don't see why.

Alright then...if we're going to do this...let's DO IT. Here's my entry:

Name: Chester
Age: 38
Birthplace: Athens, Greece
Hometown: Omaha, NE
Current City: Albuquerque, NM
Transportation: aging Honda Civic
Employment: pediatric pulmonary physician

I became a fan when attending a fellowship at WashU. A friend gave me 2 tickets to a game the year they were last in the league. I had no idea...all I knew was that I had a fantastic time. I'd been an off and on hockey fan before that (usually watched just the playoffs), but I finally had a team.

Favorite Blue: David Perron
Favorite Non-Blue: PK Subban (actually Lars Eller)

Defining Moment: Perron's rookie season I attended a game vs Detroit. The Blues won an intense exciting LOUD game. Perron had two goals. The best was a homerun pass from Wagner (back when we thought he might be an NHLer) Perron caught behind the defense and charged in fro the goal. He also had a garbage rebound goal on a PP. That's the game where JD pumped his fist up in the press box (which I think they still use on pregame footage). Man, we in the crowd were completely ecstatic. Fantastic fun game.

I also shed tears when watching the footage of the last few moments against Columbus when the team clinched a playoff seed in front of the home crowd, capping off a miraculous 2nd half run that started with the amazing comeback vs Boston (Backes' baseball bat goal as the clock ran out). Only those of us who were hardcore fans through the hopeless stretch can ever understand what a special effort that team managed. Its too bad they couldn't make some noise in the post-season, but even so....just qualifying was one of those special stories in sports I'll remember for the rest of my life. I found it personally uplifting and motivating to face my own challenges.

Food: sushi
TV: MST3K, Firefly, Dr Who, Burn Notice (presently)

Why I'm a moderator: Hell if I know. I guess I spend too much time on here and no one else was willing to do it.

Wash U represent...BSBA-Finance, Management, and Psychology 1996 here.

The Perron 2-goaler vs. Detroit and the Columbus playoff-clincher are two of my Top 3-4 post-lockout games attended. Perron's hatty vs. the 'Nucks last year, and the surprise OT winner vs. the Sabres in '05-'06 are also up there.
