As I said on the main boards, Lundqvist defined elite goaltending tonight. With a goalie of his caliber in net, he makes getting a point possible on any given night.

No chance Kennedy will ever play a game for us. If we trying calling him back up someone will claim him for half his salary on re-entry.

There is a lot of irony in your post.

I'm pretty positive that he will be.

At least two forward callups necessary if he is, and non eof EC, Drury, or Gabs are ready to go.

I'd expect either Zuccarello or Weise.

I believe, since we already waived him, he can be called back up without a chance to be grabbed, while still within the 30 day period... right?

Dude, we don't need that crap around here. Go be a Yankees fan with that attitude.

-Decent gut check 3rd period. Not great, but decent.
-Boyle has a nice snarl to his game now.
-Hank looked much better overall
-MDZ was better on D
-Drury was doing ok before he got hurt...does NOT belong on 1st line at all though. It's time to forget any scoring from him..he's a pure PK specialist and faceoff guy. But the finger really hurt him in the circle tonight.
-Avery - likely suspension looming once Bettman and Colin see the tape.
-Staal... STUPID time to dump a guy. Good call by ref.
-Linesman GET OUT OF THE WAY JACKHOLE.

If Avery is suspended that is a joke. Malkin should've been suspended for his slewfooting in the playoffs year's back.

Avery will be suspended. It was a stupid move, and being who he is Campbell will slap him hard. Komisarek should be suspended for being a faker, but you can't chop guys like that and not be punished.

Who should be punished is the linesman who took out 2 of our guys on a 4 on 4 resulting in the 3rd goal. How on earth does a competent linesman allow that to happen? A competent linesman doesn't.

well...im glad i didnt go to that one.
best news out of that disaster was drury getting hurt again, hopefully captain druseless is done.
i think its hilarious that A) eminger was on the ice in OT and B) kessel just walked the puck right towards him knowing he'd just give him the open ice...he stinks beyond comprehension.

Seriously guys, how much worse will our defense be with Macdonagh and Sauer instead of Eminger and Gilroy?

Cammalleri got one game for the same exact thing, guessing Avery get's three.

He had some gafs earlier on but came back strong in the later part of the game. The guy tries...I really like that about him. I don't feel like he's one of those offensive defensemen who just says "**** it" and plays soft, ****** defense and acts like he can't wait to skate the puck up the ice. At least Del Zotto tries and he should get better with that effort.

Kinda how I'm looking at it. It's so early that it's hard to draw much of a conclusion from a lot of these games. Defense absolutely needs to tighten up, offense needs to start shooting the puck more, but iti's not all bad. The goal here is that by games 10, 15, 20, etc, the team should be getting better, clamping down on defense, rounding into the form that you need in order to play good hockey down the stretch. Too often we've seen them start hot and then never get better, while all the good teams get things in order and go on to have good seasons.

Defensemen need to start reading things better in their zone and working with the forwards better, forwards gotta get some chemistry going...hopefully if Gaborik isn't hurt then we'll see the "first line" get things going soon, etc.

No reason to flip out yet
