The win was their only against Montreal over the last five years of the Seals' existence. They were 8-32-8 lifetime against the Habs and actually had a winning record at 3-2-1 in 1968-69. Hey! Remember that game in '72 when the Habs came in and outshot them 45-27, yet trailed 2-0 until the third and the Roadrunner scored twice to tie it. Meloche got a huge ovation, after Yvan's first goal. Probably the only time in league history that a home team goalie got a Big O AFTER giving up a goal!
