Don't really want to rank the rest of the league. This is what I feel is the order based on brightest future based on prospects, high-end players on team, locked up players on good contracts, young players. cap flexibility for the future, etc.

I love the fact that since the ducks started out bad that they are so underated now.

one of the best lines in hockey all under 25 and a top 10 goalie and great defensive prospects.

If we sign a #1 defender and get lydman and sutton back then they are a totally different team.

My bad, forgot about Anaheim. Half-fast effort on the list, I should have put Anaheim #13.

According to Hockeysfuture.com the Preds, Kings, Blues have the brightest futures. Following up is the Caps and the Leafs.. Pathers and in dead last the WILD.

Not enough Chicago, Pitt, Nashville, STL here.

People forget how young teams like Chicago and Pittsburgh are. Crosby isn't 32.

For what it is worth, the Panthers added a ton during the last draft, and you can't deny Markstrom as being one of the best prospects in the NHL right now.

I wish my Blues would get a little more love though, but I guess some of our prospects have graduated on enough to sort of drag us down a bit overall. Still, can't deny many of the young talents we have, such as Tarasenko, Schwartz, Cole, and McRae. Along with our other young talents I personally believe we will be up there for the next couple years and beyond that.

If they can keep their team together it's no question the L.A. Kings.

To all the people saying Vancouver, who do they even have? Outside of Hodgson (who may never play anyway,) Schroeder, and Shneider, who do they have?

They already bloomed into cup winning teams. I think most people are thinking up and coming.

I think people are giving to much credit to teams with a lot of prospects who havent proved anything in the NHL yet. Where as teams like Pitt, Washington, Boston, Chicago and LA have young players that have actually proved something at the NHL level. Teams like Edmonton, NYI, St Louis, and Florida have a lot of prospects but not many have proven themselves at the Nhl level and are still question marks to an extent.

They may have good prospects, but it takes good personnel to have a good future.

I heard they have a pair of twins that seem to be able to play a decent game of hockey.
