That'll make for some exciting pop ups.

This pitch track thing they have clearly demonstrates who the good and the bad pitchers are. Every reliever the Rangers have brought in since it was 5-1 either misses badly or throws one right down the middle. Talk about dropping a huge deuce in the bed. And they say the Phillies relievers are a question mark...

Not to sound over-confident or anything but I firmly believe the Phillies win this in 4. The only game I see them possibly losing is 2 if Oswalt isn't that sharp. I seriously doubt that will happen as Oswalt will come out fired up and should be able to get the job done.

And I don't care about stats - the Giants lineup is pretty average.

I saw we're pitching Blanton in game 4, was I reading that correctly or no?

As of now, yes. And it will most likely stay that way unless we are down 3-0 or 2-1, at which point Charlie has a decision to make.

he still goes with Blanton if they are down in the series than I will never forgive him. His excuse for not pitching Lee last year was because he never pitched on short rest, Halladay has.

The TBS pitch trax is *ing awful. Don't pay too much attention to it at all -- other than to ridicule it.

Need to simmer down a bit. The Giants hitting is quite average. However, their pitching is absolutely stellar. The Giants will be a favorite in Game 4 with Blanton v. Bumgarner, IMO.

Just like it's difficult to imagine a team running off 4 wins in a row against our starters at this point... it's difficult to imagine a team running off 4 wins in a row against theirs.

I hate the PitchTrax period, they show it on the HD yet show it again for those of us with SD. I watch the plate.

You're crazy (along with anyone else) if you hold anything against Charlie longer than the day off in between games. Charlie knows the team, and his moves work out a lot more than they don't.

Joe Blanton also pitched the game of his ****ing life in the '08 postseason, and everyone seems to forget that. I'm not saying he's a lock to win game four or that he'll make Bumgarner a no-factor, I'm just saying he's capable and, in addition to Charlie believing it, he's actually shown it before, too.

PitchTrax stuff is great if its accurate, because the camera angle skews your view... not to mention it can show you where the ball crosses the plate.

However, the TBS one seems quite inaccurate to me... and has since last year.

It's better this year, but far from accurate. Unless they get censors or something there it will never be.

NW would be left field. Should help Werth. (And Pat the Bat).

I've found that it's okay up and down, but it's not great inside and outside.

I remember, I was at the game in the WS when he hit a homerun. i'm just saying that if the Phillies are down you have to go with Halladay.

This team will find a way to sweep the Giants in 3 games so Blanton is game 4 won't even be an issue.

Bring it the hell on Giants. You will feel the wrath of our offense and Halladay's pitching.

As Charlie has stated when it comes to Lincecum all they have to do is not swing. I know it's easier said then done but be patient and wait for your pitch.

That's a pretty unfair evaluation of Lincecum's talent. I mean, hell, he has two Cy Young awards.

The man has talent. I'm not taking that away from him but the hitters out there have to be patient. Charlie said it himself that if he was playing against Lincecum he just wouldn't swing. I'm not saying that Lincecum is 100% beatable, in fact i'm saying the exact opposite. i'm just saying that that is how the Phillies are going to beat him. That's the only way they will beat him.

EDIT: They can't just all go out there like Jimmy Rollins swinging at the first pitch.

Not sure that's necessarily the message... though, it's certainly the issue. The trick with a guy like Lincecum, who lives with disappearing pitches, is that you can't swing at that crap. If he makes a mistake, you need to be ready to be all over it... which is where the patience comes in. If you're out there jumping on a good change-up early in the AB, you're throwing it away with a groundball.
