Nice to see Ottawa crumple after taking some bad penalties.
- Pleks and A Kost amazing
- Hammer and Spacegoat don't belong near this team
- gomer totally worthless
- Pouliot deserves better linemates, he was all over tonight with little support
- Price was solid, poor kid is doomed behind this defense
- Our PP needs better point men, I havnt a clue what Subban was doing but it failed

Subban must play PP on his natural side. The right side.
Hamrlik just coming back from an injury. Be patient and play him with Subban., not Spacek.
Good game overall, I like that we took the play to them for the most part. Subban played the game we want and did not get a bad penalty. He will score if he keeps shooting. Nice to see we are not relying on one scoring line so far this season, I know it's early but it looks better than last year. Price played well enough, not spectacular but as some one mentioned earlier he did not give up a back breaker. Gomez Gionta and Pouliot looked much better tonight and that bodes well. AK46 with his best game as a Hab since I can remember. Plexs is the shizzle.
Keep it going guys. Go Habs Go
100 % winning percentage on game when I do the GDT(even though it was not great)

Ok, watching the past two games. I still see Subban as being something special, he's gonna rock but he's no Markov yet. Markov is so smooth, but Subban has raw talent. I can't wait for PK to get a couple years under his belt, in 3.5 years he's going to be amazing.
At 25 I suspect that Subby will be the player that Markov is now at 31. I'd give Subban a Depietro contract at this point.
I think he overplayed a bit in the playoffs based on emotion, you can still see his talent, but he's just not experienced enough to carry an NHL team. However, I think JM is the perfect coach for him. JM was largely responsible imo for allowing Bouemeester to become the player he was.
Jim hughson touched on the comparison that I've been saying for a while.
PK Subban is eerily similar to Ed Jovanovski in terms of playing style, and passion. Obviously, Jovo is bigger than PK though.
That's a much more accurate comparison, but it's still basing it off of two games last year, a handful of playoff games, and five games this year. We'll see though. If he can become like Brian Leetch, I'll be doing a happy dance around the province.
Very good game ! God AK looks good when he pushes his skating hard as he did on the Plek goal ! Loved it !
I'm starting to wonder about Eller though ; I thought he was a shoe-in for the 3rd center job, but now he's a confused winger and a benched one... if he's to be a 7 minutes guy with no PP time, then why not send him down so he can play ? And decide on a position for him and let him get good at it !
edit : for the 4rt line winger role, at this point in time, wouldn't White be better than him anyway ?

I remember when markov broke into the league. His style is the same now as it was then. He's generally very calculating and cerebral (with the odd razzle dazzle).
In contrast, PK Subban just goes on instinct, it seems, and I dont see that changing. He's a much more high risk player.
it's still shocking to me that some habs fans would want Kovalev back...so glad he's another teams headache.
I forgot all about Kovy and didn't realize he was even playing tonight until I heard his name with 8 minutes to go in the 3rd... Totally invisible the entire night..
Our PP continues to concern me, but other than that, I have no major complaints.
AKost is looking like a top-flight winger. Looks like people were right about how getting his brother off the team was good for AKost.
If AKost plays like this most/all of the season, then we're going to have a nice balanced offense, because you just know that Pleks, Gio, and Cammy will have their goals.
Now, give Pouliot a chance to win a regular spot on the Gomez/Gio line and we could be looking at two very solid scoring lines.
I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised here. I admit that I had little faith in AKost or Pouliot after last year's playoffs, but it looks like AKost at least really is starting to reach his potential.
3-1-1 against five solid opponents (including 3 divisions rivals), and with Markov out - not bad, not bad at all.
Last season we started the season 2-5-0 and we managed to make the conference finals. 3-1-1 (both losses were winnable) is pretty good especially when you consider we don't have our best player. Maybe we'll start winning more decisively after Markov returns. We then won't have to solely rely on even strength production (whoda thought).
