That's a lame excuse. Great players make the people around them better. You're not supposed to suck because the people around you suck, you're supposed to look ****ing incredible in comparison and help improve their game. Fix your attitude.
Frankie is being sarcastic. though he won't admit it.
I'm at work so I can't watch the game, but the "sloppy" comments seem amusing.
AHL hockey always looks bad on TV, all minor pro leagues do. It's a lower caliber league than the NHL with more mistakes. Add that to the fact this is the Marlies 4th game with basically no preseason because the team was constantly changing and the second game in 18 hours and it's not surprising it's bad hockey. Doesn't help it's a Nationally televised game where the players want to make an impression either. That usually means more pressure, more mistakes and more chances taken. Every time there's an AHL game televised you see these types of comments.
Thank you. Reading all these comments about sloppy play and no structure all I can think of is... what did you expect? This isn't the NHL.
Kadri is a classy kid that won't own this team until he gets his cockiness back that the major brass seems intent on nagging out of him. Here is hoping he ignores them, and takes this team over.
He has to assert his influence on this team right away, and lead them. They look like less than any OHL team i ever watched otherwise. The ohl players are at least ohl calibre players. These marlies don't look like AHL calibre players pushing to make the NHL.
What is the identity of this team anyways? Not one there from where i'm sittin.
Kadri could be really good offensively if he got stronger. A LOT STRONGER. He likes to be physical but is mowed down every time... He needs another 15 pounds, around 198-200 pounds. I am tired of seeing him beat up every game.
Caputi is looking good today, and Kadri has been a bit better after his hit from behind.
CIS hockey is very good hockey, and I don't understand why more people don't watch it or why it gets panned as much as it does.
Agreed. There are many solid CHLers who lost college eligability, and dont want to go to Europe who come play. Very few of them will ever make it big, but lots of them have played against guys who go on to be superstars
