Irwin with a goal. Don't know about you guys but his skating has been better this game than it was during rookie camp.

Kadri is playing the wing and got an assist on the goal.

Hanson line buzzing.

Oh, well... Went right over my head. I'm a little touchy on the subject since people I know in real life talk about how the AHL is making Kadri suck.

Man how fun is this watching these hacks try to run Kadri through the end boards every play to make a name for themselves on national TV?

AHL hockey always looks bad on TV, all minor pro leagues do. It's a lower caliber league than the NHL with more mistakes. Add that to the fact this is the Marlies 4th game with basically no preseason because the team was constantly changing and the second game in 18 hours and it's not surprising it's bad hockey. Doesn't help it's a Nationally televised game where the players want to make an impression either. That usually means more pressure, more mistakes and more chances taken. Every time there's an AHL game televised you see these types of comments.
Thank you. Reading all these comments about sloppy play and no structure all I can think of is... what did you expect? This isn't the NHL.

Maybe if you keep saying it, someone will take the bait.

Kadri is a classy kid that won't own this team until he gets his cockiness back that the major brass seems intent on nagging out of him. Here is hoping he ignores them, and takes this team over.

He has to assert his influence on this team right away, and lead them. They look like less than any OHL team i ever watched otherwise. The ohl players are at least ohl calibre players. These marlies don't look like AHL calibre players pushing to make the NHL.

What is the identity of this team anyways? Not one there from where i'm sittin.

Caputi is probably my favourite to watch in these games.

you really think that's what they're doing? trying to make a name for themselves by injuring our young, precious star?

they want to be know as "the guy who hurt nazem kadri"? seriously?

i can't see burkie tolerating that.

nice. I like you better when you're honest.

And I agree, that is a joke.

It's not his teammates' fault that Kadri has only scored 3pts in his first 3.5 AHL games. that's all on Kadri. looking like a bust already, IMO.

absolutely. this is how borderline AHL hacks without real NHL scoring potential make a name for themselves in the AHL - by taking runs at the top prospects.

the fact that they're on national tv just makes it worse. this is the most exposure some of these guys will ever get in their entire lives.

Kadri is playing much better as a winger.

That might be his eventual call.

Actually there was a Sens fan on another forum who was gloating about how his friend (Eric Sellack or something) on the Rochester Americans hit Kadri with his knee.

You never know.

Kadri could be really good offensively if he got stronger. A LOT STRONGER. He likes to be physical but is mowed down every time... He needs another 15 pounds, around 198-200 pounds. I am tired of seeing him beat up every game.

Caputi is looking good today, and Kadri has been a bit better after his hit from behind.

I think Kadri would be better suited as a LW than a C.

Agreed. There are many solid CHLers who lost college eligability, and dont want to go to Europe who come play. Very few of them will ever make it big, but lots of them have played against guys who go on to be superstars
