Probably a mistake but they show Petrov playing in tonight exhibition game
The Kirill Petrov impersonator also got a slashing penalty.

Whose #18 for the Isles? That would explain the imposter.

EDIT: #18 is Jed Ortmeyer

It's weird because it looks an awful lot like Kirill.

on the main board it says the khl and the nhl came to an agreement not you cannot sign a player currently under contract to your team anymore....does this mean petrov wont make it over next year too?

You can still buy him out (or he can still buy himself out), or come to some sort of agreement with his team. Basically the new agreement says that the NHL and KHL recognize the validity of one another's contracts.

Just an update on Petrov. His career stats in the KHL before the trade were 19 games with 1 goal and 1 assist.

Since he was traded he's got 6 games played, with 1 goal and 5 assists. He is currently tied for fourth on his team in points, and has half the games played as the guys he's tied with.

he's finally getting good minutes ... time on the powerplay. Good to see. I hope it helps his game.

Wow the KHL is really tough handing out secondary assists so 5 assist is good

I notice Zagrapan's on Petrov's team. I remember him from a few years back as Buffalo's first round pick. Is he over in Russia to stay?

For real? Nah

Just ask the experts who cited his lack of production in the KHL with the Leopards as proof that he wasn't NHL material.

Makes me think that that crazy guy who use to post about petrov all the time wasn't that far off on his blackball theory...Petrov is getting ice time now, and even powerplay time, where he can shine...
