I was watching this game with one of my friends who is a Pens fan. I get nhl network and center ice games so sometimes I have to listen to the opposing team's announcers. I'm sure this has been discussed previously but I have to tell you that I cannot understand how the Pens announcers are not attacked when they leave our building. Do they have security guards that escort them?

Not only is losing to Crosby and the rest of the cheerleading squad bad enough, but I have to listen to those announcers completely disrespect everything philly and be constant homers. I think at one point they were saying that if Zherdev did that in the past he wouldn't leave the building!! REALLY??? They talk tougher than the actual team plays.

I had to go into my room and sit at my computer and not watch the rest of the game because I seriously have thoughts of murdering them every time I hear them. I'm not kidding, I want to smash my $1500 TV because they make me so mad. UGHHHHHHHHHHH........

PS - Let's go Flyers

Its true. My favorite part was then they were blaming Zherdev for getting high sticked. They kept talking about how he shouldn't be so slouched over.

It certainly is. And to be fair, since I live in the NYC area, I have to listen to the devils, rangers, and islanders broadcasts when they play the flyers. I am a big fan of all 3 of their broadcasting teams and they make the game enjoyable while showing respect to the flyers. Even the caps guys aren't bad. The Bruins announcers are also brutal.

This popped up in Google news:

Warning: Make sure you wear your Homer goggles before reading to prevent being blinded by this homerism.

On top of that, why does Google News consider Bleacher Report a reputable media outlet?

Forgot it's blocked here in the title. As it should. Obviously if you want to read it, fill in the *'s.

Yeah, no ****. Unfortunately, my curiosity got the better of me and I read it.

I guess it's not surprising. Some Pens fans believe what their announcers tell them too.

The best part of that article is how childish she comes off in the comments below it.

If they cant withstand the loss of Richards (they absolutely can)for 5 minutes than they dont desrve to win anyway. Try again.
Agree 1000%. Some captains get the C and just wear it, others lead by example. I would have loved to have seen Richards do anything to let Cooke know that if he messes with anyone on his team he will be held accountable, whether he takes the gloves off or not. At the same time Richards teammates need to step up if Richards gets taken off the even things up, no biggie. It is not like the PP has been a huge advantage to the Flyers so far this season, now all the sudden it is some great chance to even things up. You play 8 games against this team, make a statement captain.

I like how Flyer fans took over the poll, voting that Richards was 100% right. She was probablly raging after seeing who people voted for lol.

It's a Penguins logo surrounded by the words, "Wildly Popular Since the 2005 Draft."

Meh I dont think Richards said anything wrong. He admitted we have penalty trouble, but also pointed but also pointed out diving trouble.

He didnt just go out and say " We are 100% innocent" or anything

Their fans are funny.

I remember watching my first hockey game, too.

Apparently according to them, Mike Richards tears are actually sperm. We might want to have Jim McCrossin take a look at that.
