Good idea getting him a shot in the NHL. The Stars could use his faceoffs and 2 way play.

Wonder what position they plan on using him in, since they've had Ott at Center while Benn's out.

Hopefully 4th line center. You want Wandell up the middle on the 3rd so that line isn't useless, but Ott on his wing so they can win some faceoffs. Gagnon can take care of everything on his trio.

...

how was Gagnon in pre-season?

Does he have the offensive upside to maybe get 25-30 points in the NHL one day?

also, do you guys think Gagnon will just be the 13th forward once Benn returns?

Gagnon was very good in the preseason. Sure, I don't see why he couldn't score that many points. But his job for now is to be a checker. I would guess he gets sent down when Benn returns.

And of course now that I've said he ought to play center, Crawford does the opposite. Apparently he's playing 4th line LW with Wandell, who's still stuck down there. Honestly the 4th line is better than the 3rd.

It doesnt make alot of sense to me. If hes going to play wing he should be playing rw with petersen playing lw. Oh well.

Wandell I think is just not up to speed yet. He has been a complete nonfactor so far this season. So the 4th line is ok for him. However Steve Ott hasnt exactly been much of a impact player other than winning faceoffs this year either. I know Ribs loves having a right shot on his wing, but maybe to get the most out of Ott we should put him on that RW and move Burish down to the 3rd line.

Agreed. As long as the line itself is producing they should keep it the same, but soon enough they will go through a dry spell because it's really more of a 2 man line with help from Burish in the dirty areas. Ott will get his shot their sooner or later.

I do have to say though, that through 4 games (yes, very small sample) I have liked what Burish adds to the lineup. Hopefully getting him in the mindset of being able to play with skilled players will only help bring up the level of play of the bottom six when he inevitably gets slotted there.

And he's already been sent back to the A.

Must mean that Benn will be ready to go Thursday.
