An announcement will be made tomorrow. I'm excited to see if they have an updates pending for Mac OS X

However, you reporting on Apple products is about as unbiased as Fox randomly calling Billy Wagner and asking him to do color commentary for the Phils-Giants series.

Yeah, we all know Snakes position on all things Apple.

If there is a demographic a computer company wants, it's the college crowd. I see a lot of Macs on campus.

Apples biggest uphill battle is that they are not widely used in business. That means they will always have small market share. How many people have a work PC and a Mac at home? All the computers at my work are Windows XP. All the computers at Temple University are Windows 7. But I have a Mac at home.

I believe I read that among college students, Apple is the #1 brand ahead of Dell, HP and Toshiba. That's something to build on for Apple at least.

If he gets 40 goals at 40 he'll be the first guy to do it since Gordie Howe had 44 in 68-69. Found out a ton while writing this...

No, you're not. Salanne is one of my favorite players in the league. He looks great for his age. He would of looked even better in a Flyers uniform. I wish we went after him, even thought he would of kindly rejected us because he is a Duck. I would have fully understood.

I've considered buying a Jets jersey of his just to have.

Their best chance to break into the work force was when Vista was under fire. It's tough to beat out windows in regards to a workplace. Problem for them is going to be finding a way to best Active Directory, it has it's flaws but it's pretty simple to operate.

The bigger problem for them is because they don't offer a budget model. Whether they see that as a problem is up for debate, but they're not cracking into the workplace at their prices.

I think they're pretty comfortable with their business model at this point.

Probably. If they get into business they lose their "cool" factor.

Welp, I just figured out that Yahoo is not bipartisan. Two of the four cycling front page stories are "Obama tax cut slips under radar" and "The town that the stimulus saved." Just in time for the upcoming elections!

It seems like its been since last season that the Flyers have played a game.

Agreed. I hate these long layoffs, especially after a loss like the one suffered on Saturday.

It's nice having NHL Center Ice, but still....

They've had it the last couple of years. It definitely sucks, but once November hits it'll be smooth sailing.

And yes, I love Center Ice.

The October schedule has been terrible for the last few years... for all teams.

It feels like it doesn't get better until football season ends and more teams play regular games on Sundays.

Oh, I know. Just felt the need to vent. I feel cleansed.

At least I have my son's hockey twice a week (practice and game) to sort of tide me over.

Last year seemed weird in that the Flyers had (IIRC) 5 or 6 less games played by Nov. 15. I could be wrong (can't be bothered to look it up), though.

Without looking, I remember the Flyers had three long breaks in the beginning of the season. I believe that after November, they had no breaks longer than three days, excluding the Olympics.

Edit: so, yeah, they had two long breaks in October (separtated by one game) and one in November... then they had no breaks longer than three days for the rest of the season.

No games from October 11-15 and 17-21, November 8-11.

I found this interesting:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_upshot...se-would-apply

Quote:
A town near drug cartel capital Juarez, Mexico, had just one applicant for police chief after a spate of killings of public officials in drug-related violence.

So now the new chief in Guadalupe, a town of 10,000 residents near the Texas border, is 20-year-old college criminology major Marisol Valles García.
From college to police chief? Now here's someone who has the right idea...

I do that all the time, it never ends well. But I'm not a quick learner.

I want to say I'm amazed or surprised, but I'm honestly not that the "Mike 'Leadership' Richards" thread on the Pens board is still alive and kicking. But then again if we started a "Crosby is a whiny brat" thread it would be either:

A: Infested with Penguins fans saying the usual "jealous" statement.

B: Filled with Penguins fans saying Flyers fans are "classless."

C: Closed in 5 seconds by a mod.

But why should i complain? We're hypocrites, after all.
